I understand the frustration people have with John’s injuries but people slagging him off for wanting to play for his country is a bit off for me. He didn’t get injured playing for England (this time) and the reality is that he is injury prone and it’s always going to happen whether he plays for England or not. He’s played the equivalent of less than 4 league games for us this season and that isn’t due to him playing for his country. My main sentiment is get fit John asap and hopefully play a meaningful role in us winning the league and England doing well in the World Cup. And I for one don’t blame you for either being injury prone or wanting to play for your country.
Giving up tomatoes, as advised by a Spanish specialist, worked for Slippy Steve.Feel sorry for him especially after his interview in the summer.
John Stones on his injuries: "I don't know the reason, we've sat with medical staff, sports science, to try and figure out why. Some things can't be explained. Which is even more testing mentally when there's not really an answer”
Imagine being in pain and injured and they can’t explain it to you.
Agreed whilst Stones has been a brilliant servant for the club, his best days are behind him unfortunately.think we need to recall Reis
Feel sad for John Stones, but time has caught up with him.
At first, I imagined the same and that it could be a case of Guardiola thinking it was time for Stones to sit a game out but he didn't fancy explaining that to the media. However, he's only done that to Bobb, Lewis, and Khusanov, not Ake nor Stones, so I think an injury more probable.Watch Stones be on the bench in Madrid.
Guardiola said in the embargoed part of the press conference that 'Stones was injured'. He didn't clarify what the nature of the injury was, or how long he might be out for.At first, I imagined the same and that it could be a case of Guardiola thinking it was time for Stones to sit a game out but he didn't fancy explaining that to the media. I know. Presumably he’ll be questioned more on this in his next press conference.Guardiola said in the embargoed part of the press conference that 'Stones was injured'. He didn't clarify what the nature of the injury was, or how long he might be out for.
Think it’s most likely that Pep is annoyed at Stones for not playing through the pain barrier. It sounds to me as if it’s probably a niggle that hasn’t shown up as anything serious. At first, I imagined the same and that it could be a case of Guardiola thinking it was time for Stones to sit a game out but he didn't fancy explaining that to the media. If John Stones plays through the pain barrier he could make the injury worse.Think it’s most likely that Pep is annoyed at Stones for not playing through the pain barrier. It sounds to me as if it’s probably a niggle that hasn’t shown up as anything serious.
It’s Stones though. He might be out until Easter too.
He won't go in January unless a replacement comes in. It is possible that he will get one of his fitness bouts and play a crucial role in the spring. But in the summer, sorry Blue, he will be on his way with our thanks for those glorious days when he was fit.A real shame for glass boulders, with Nunes starting to look like he needs a break the Sunderland and Real games would have been ideal to bring him back in as a starter.
As it is, he must be available considerably more time by ratio than for his wage payers and sadly, with that in mind I think it's time to let him go in the summer or maybe even for a peppercorn fee in January.
Recovering from an ACL injury isn’t akin to most other injuries though, hence Pep isn’t frustrated with Rodri. If John Stones plays through the pain barrier he could make the injury worse.
I don’t hear anyone saying Rodri should play through the pain barrier.
What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Equality!
:-) :-)

Rumour has it Stones suffered a wrist injury by opening a bag of crisps. How the fuck has stones got injured again!?
He was over the ACL weeks ago, he is supposed to be suffering from some sort of hamstring injury now. Plus Pep himself said something along the lines of it being psychological the other week. :-)Recovering from an ACL injury isn’t akin to most other injuries though, hence Pep isn’t frustrated with Rodri.
Will be all part of the same thing Eccles. Extra pressure put on the hamstrings with knee injuries and part of the muscle is used in the graft used to make the replacement ligament. They kind of trim and twine it and use it as a graftHe was over the ACL weeks ago, he is supposed to be suffering from some sort of hamstring injury now. It was reported that Stones suffers from plantar fasciitis. It can take years to be free from pain. Stone may have caused more injury playing with sore feet. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/plantar-fasciitis/ View attachment 177018
