It isn’t and I find that quite surprising considering the amount of damage the orange clown is doing.

There must surely a body of people thinking enough is enough and invite him to a 6th floor window to admire the pavement below. Being more serious, there are surely enough smart people who won’t let this continue

The problem is, he has the whole Republican Party pretty much in lockstep and fearful of saying anything that might 'upset' him. Those who vehemently opposed him in 2015/16 and beyond have now fallen into line and worship him with the vigor of a subordinate of the North Korean leader. And being the party in control of the House and the Senate there is absolutely no way an impeachment is even tabled let alone voted on.

Basically, the only hope hinges on the mid-terms, and even then, it's a slim chance of fixing this mess. I fear it might just be too late.

They also control the Supreme court, and have have their own private paramilitary force kidnapping people on the streets. And the military now routinely and publicly celebrating murders on their behalf. Should I also mention the capture of the Justice dept?

Free and fair midterms will not happen. They've already got started on gerrymandering, and have troops on the streets in democrat cities.

Which is precisely why I think it might be just too late. This wasn't what I had in mind when I was thinking about living in 'interesting times'

Nope, they talk a big game and shout "2nd amendment, 2nd amendment" whenever anyone questions the idiotic need for a heavily armed populace, but ironically the large number of guns available indicates they are the softest, scared of everything, shit houses on the planet.

You mean the NRA completely ignoring the scenario they told us they've been preparing for all these years?
 
Starmer and the other European leaders need to stop this dance they’ve been performing since January as it’s plainly not working. It’s going to be painful, and it’s going to make us all poorer, but we need to start materially standing up for ourselves.

We are at war with Russia and anyone who thinks Trump is on our side in that war in completely deluded. All the evidence points the other way. I think we’ve reached the point where lines need to be drawn, including getting US troops out of Europe whilst Russia is relatively weak and not especially well placed to exploit it. I think we should boycott the World Cup too.

I don’t expect these things to happen, and I’m sure many will see the above as extreme, preposterous even, but if we carry on as we are where do people actually see this ending up? Does anyone actually think the US will come to our aid if Russia attacks NATO? America simply cannot be relied upon anymore, and anyone thinking that there will be a regime change in the States to save the day really hasn’t been paying attention. The result of all the subsequent elections will be rigged, assuming they even take place.

We need to wake up to all that, bite the bullet, and respond accordingly. It’s over.

Who would have thought 8 years ago that the USA would be a bigger threat to world peace than Russia. The world is truly fucked.
