Tino Livramento

Didnt gundogan do both?

Dislocated his kneecap in 2015, the season prior to us buying him and then he had an ACL the season he signed for us.

The big one for Gundogan was his back injury. That put him out for 429 days. He nearly contemplated retirement by all accounts

2014-2017 was a dreadful era in his career and credit to him for coming back the player was for us. Most players would have been finished off.

He could and should have had a world cup winners medal in the period.

With Gundogan the game is in his head, though. It's the more physically demanding players that are the concern with ACLs. If they lose a yard of pace or a second of agility, it can be the difference between then being world class and mid table.

It's why I am not worried too much with Rodri. His positioning is the best in the world in that DM position. The game is in his brain. He has never been the quickest or most agile.

Glad it doesn't lookalike another ACL and surprised that he's got the reputation as injury prone.

Ok he did his ACL and missed a year but thats a big injury that can happen to anyone. Apart from this current injury according to Transfermarkt he's been 'ill' twice and hurt his ankle twice missing 11 games at Newcastle.

If doesn’t sign a contract before summer Newcastle will sell! What gets me is why all this chat off he want to come to us just tell Newcastle now he isn’t going to sign a contract and he is happy to see out his contract leave for nought if they ain’t willing to sell!

I’m starting to feel like a proper fan boy, I’ve been non stop about him in the right back thread. I really think something is going on here - Bruno after our apparent interest signed a new deal, Tino has not.

Do we even need him?

Would be like a Rayan Ait Nouri signing.. finally we have a RB.. a RB that Pep won't play!

Saliba was responsible for the injury to Khusanov earlier in the season - another deliberate but sly movement when he brought his foot down hard on Khusanov's foot, but will the referees look out for this - probably not - they are desperate to see the Arsenal win the league

This would be an incredible signing for so many reasons.

We covers both sides meaning we can still play Nunes who has been excellent with Livramento and most importantly Nico OR in the midfield which is crying out for help.

He’s homegrown, young, bags of potential and has loads of experience in the prem and a good amount in Europe.

For me this is like signing Rice. People say don’t pay money for full backs but how important aren’t they? We’ve been bodging it for years and has been an issue in big games.

Nunes is a good option. Keep him and add Livramento we will be more complete.

Everyone knows Lewis isn’t a RB, Nico OR can do it at LB because he’s physically better and his playing style suits it more.
