Russian invasion of Ukraine

Feel like something got to give soon enough and www3 on the horizon some head of our forces did a speech about conscription in the UK it’s not imminent but could be coming.

Would rather they offered free no obligation training to anyone that wants it. No way at my age and fitness levelss could I do the front lines but I'd happily train up as a home guard sniper or similar if needed. or a drone operator etc.

The sooner it happens the sooner we can look forward to WW4 and if the rocky films are anything to go by in the 4th installment the Russkies get put in their place and we all live happily ever after! :-)

its not so much the "now" thats the issue, its the future. They are massively speeding up production of hardware which is the issue, that and the fact they have moved so far into a military economic standing that even if the war stopped tomorrow they couldn't just convert things back to where they were. they will keep making them to keep people in jobs for a long while.

Russia are not far ( months rathe than years ) from being able to launch 2000 Geran-2 drones a day( Shahed 's Russian name ). less than a year ago that production was about 5k a month.

Tanks are up to 150-200 a month. Unsure how many of those are brand new and how many are retrofitting skeletons.

Armoured personal carriers are up to nearly 200 a month now.

as of June, Iskander missiles up from 40 a month to 60-70, Kh-101 are up to 20-30 a month, 3M-14 Kalibr are 20-30 a month and 20 to 30 3M55 Onyx.

so while yeah, the idea that Russia can defeat Nato is still a joke. but the idea that in 5 years that they wont be ready to try is a hell of a risk to take.

I doubted the video of the submarine sinking the other day, as I couldn't see a sub where the explosion occurred, it looks like they did miss it directly, but have probably damaged it.

This video shows satellite imagery suggesting it was damged, but hasn't sunk, but there is a huge amount of damage to the dock, and the before/after images show other subs have been moved.

Not doubting you, but I'd like some links to read about all this production, because if it's coming from sources inside russia then it is very likely to be exaggerated greatly (lies).

Drone one does look like it maybe Russia based so discount that figure for now.

Thanks, like I said not doubting you, more doubting some of the claims.

That third article could have been written by putin as a propoganda piece, and I note it's author was based in moscow at one point.
