Best City Football you've seen?

How quickly is the glorious football under Pearce forgotten.

Like the title says, I'm curious what is the best football you've seen City play?

For example, many point to the first half against Madrid, on the way to the treble, as the best football city okay. Some might point to the 2-1 Liverpool game that had the Stones clearance.

What are some of the best/top city footballing moments for you? Something that got out of your seat or in retrospect made you think you are likely watching greatness. Could be a moment, half, full game, etc..

Without a shadow of a doubt , the demolition of Real. Incredible football and had me in bits #cmoncity

Was at Elm Park for the 7-0,56 years ago F sake.

So was I. It entailed sciving off work at lunchtime and bombing down the motorway in my battered old Ford Anglia. I spent the match sat on a wall behind the goal talking to a Swindon fan from Newbury as the goals went in. I then had to drive all the way back North through the night, a few hours sleep and up at eight to get into work for 09:00.

After years of mediocrity, one of the seasons I remember most fondly was when we achieved promotion back to the Premier League with Keegan as our manager.

It was a pure joy to watch. We've had many memorable moments and games since then, but it wasn't just about the football back then. There was an optimism surrounding the club, led by the chairman, David Bernstein, who was a repectable figure running matters in a sensible way for the first time in decades, and we had a new staduim on the way which added to our thoughts of a bright, new future.

After years of decline, that season gave me real hope we were on the up, and we did OK the season after.

Even non city fans were telling the Madrid game was the best 45 minutes of football they ever saw.

Perversely one of my favourite performances was the Atletico 0-0 away game

Any side with Tueart, Barnes Hartford and Donnachie in it for me, there were times when that lot played the fiddle the world seemed to dance.

I know there's no Tueart in this but this was blood and thunder.

I loved that blue netting as a kid but I am easily pleased to be fair!!

I witnessed first-hand the 'Ballet on Ice' in 1967; beating The Red Filth 5-1 in 1989; Aguero's '93.20' in 2012; the 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid two years ago (note to my 7 year old self.. yes, it's true! one day your beloved Blues will thrash Real Madrid 4-0.. that's Real Ma-f**king-drid we'll beat.. and we'll completely outplay them and put four past them!!); and, of course, everything Pep has given to us

Just so many in the last15 years.,but one of my favourite moments is Bernado ,ball seemingly tied to his boots and 4 or 5 dipper defenders trying to find him, never mind tackle him.

Stand out result though for me and the never to be repeated atmosphere inside the Etihad the place was rocking at the the seams from kick off to half an hour after full time……..
City 2 - 1 Dippers A very cold January evening 2018 . Possibly the best dippers team ever , possibly the best City performance ever . Incredible night .

Was just about to say, not in the first half .... Matt Jansen should've had a hat-trick, but the whole day was magical.

RM 4-0 was simply the greatest performance ever by the Blues, folk forget how good Courtois was, especially in that opening 45 mins too.

I was on the plane the day following the dipper game, sat across from me was none other than Phil Thomson. I kept leaving my paper on the tray with the back page facing him. Eventually he said laughing 'its alright, I've fucking seen it'.
On another note, whenever i fly from Liverpool, I always take a copy of the sun and make sure everyone can see it on my table
