Best City Football you've seen?

City 4 Arsenal 2, 2009
Spurs 1 City 5, 2011
City 1 United 0, 2012 (never seen a City side give a Utd side so little in a game)
City 4 United 1, 2013
City 6 Arsenal 3, 2013
City 6 Spurs 0, 2013
City 7 Stoke 2, 2017
City 4 Spurs 1, 2017
City 3 United 1, 2018
Arsenal 0 City 3, 2018
City 2 Liverpool 1, 2019
City 4 Madrid 3, 2022
City 6 United 3, 2022 (6-1 after 65mins, if we’d wanted to and really gone for it from that point, we could have genuinely gone on and won 10-1 that day, we were unbelievable for 70mins, the Rags had completely gone but we let them off the hook)
City 4 Liverpool 1, 2023
City 4 Arsenal 1, 2023
City 4 Madrid 0, 2023
Man City 5 Norwich City 1, December 2011, Mario’s nonchalant shoulder goal

Our matches against Klopps Liverpool are comfortably the highest level of quality football that I have seen in the premier league.

In terms of just pure high quality that 2-1 win at the Etihad is probably the best 90mins of football the premier league has ever seen.
Agreed. Sensational match.

When we battered Madrid at home.
The closest thing to football perfection.
Since pep has been at city there has been loads of examples of unbelievable football.
But that against Madrid was amazing
Agree never seen anything like it or come close to perfection in my nearly half a century of following this wonderful club

I agree with the Real Madrid 4-0 shouts and many others, but another game I want to point out is the 1st leg of the 20/21 CL semi away at PSG, specifically the 2nd half. We were so good that an extremely strong side (that had just beaten both Barcelona and Bayern) resorted to kicking the shit out of us due to their frustration

As an aside, that 20/21 side is super underrated. Our defence felt impenetrable, and some of our midfield displays were the most intricate they had ever been. Funnily enough, that side was like the treble-winning side in that people weren't too happy with how things had been going in the 1st half of the season. The only difference was that the treble side didn't run out of energy in those last few weeks

Considering they were reigning champions, had dominated domestically for 20 years, and everyone in my age group had to put up with them for so long during their best years and our worst, the 6-1 at the swamp is maybe it for me in terms of both sending out the message that we had arrived, and that we were now better than them.

First half against Madrid was the best football I’ve ever seen from ANY team
Exactly this. They performance and the first half against Arsenal at home and the way we performed overall that season was one of those once in a generation events. Never seen a better side in 50 plus years of watching football and the pinnacle was the Madrid first half. Unfortunately don’t think we ( or any side) will hit those heights again any time soon but will enjoy watching Pep try.

For me personally it was any time David Silva, Sergio, Tevez and KDB was on the pitch. That Norwich game probably showcased how beautiful that team was at the time and how much that team was loved. Having said that this current team is packed with talent and it’s gonna be interesting to see how far they can go.

I witnessed first-hand the 'Ballet on Ice' in 1967; beating The Red Filth 5-1 in 1989; Aguero's '93.20' in 2012; the 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid two years ago (note to my 7 year old self.. yes, it's true! one day your beloved Blues will thrash Real Madrid 4-0.. that's Real Ma-f**king-drid we'll beat.. and we'll completely outplay them and put four past them!!); and, of course, everything Pep has given to us

'Io sono contento' as the Italians might put it..
The 4-0 win v Real Madrid is probably the best performance by a City team managed by Guardiola. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a better performance and yes I know we've had some brilliant performances, the FA Cup Final v Watford 6-0 is one that springs to mind but let's be honest, it was like men v boys, but the match v Real Madrid wasn't men v boys. It was a proper match on paper. On the grass however, we were up for it, so were the crowd. Nothing like it, I was watching it at home but the atmosphere came through the screen and make no bones about it, Real Madrid knew they had been in a cauldron and had received a hammering at the end of it.

As most have stated, that 1st half against Madrid was not just City's most complete performance. It was the best performance of any English side in Europe.
