City 6 United 3, 2022 (6-1 after 65mins, if we’d wanted to and really gone for it from that point, we could have genuinely gone on and won 10-1 that day, we were unbelievable for 70mins, the Rags had completely gone but we let them off the hook)

Agreed. Sensational match. Our matches against Klopps Liverpool are comfortably the highest level of quality football that I have seen in the premier league.
In terms of just pure high quality that 2-1 win at the Etihad is probably the best 90mins of football the premier league has ever seen.
Agree never seen anything like it or come close to perfection in my nearly half a century of following this wonderful clubWhen we battered Madrid at home.
The closest thing to football perfection.
Since pep has been at city there has been loads of examples of unbelievable football.
But that against Madrid was amazing
Exactly this. They performance and the first half against Arsenal at home and the way we performed overall that season was one of those once in a generation events. Never seen a better side in 50 plus years of watching football and the pinnacle was the Madrid first half. Unfortunately don’t think we ( or any side) will hit those heights again any time soon but will enjoy watching Pep try.First half against Madrid was the best football I’ve ever seen from ANY team
Pity the home crowd was the lowest percentage wise the premier league has ever seen.No doubt already mentioned but first half against Arsenal after Caraboa final. Best I’ve ever seen an english side play
The 4-0 win v Real Madrid is probably the best performance by a City team managed by Guardiola. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a better performance and yes I know we've had some brilliant performances, the FA Cup Final v Watford 6-0 is one that springs to mind but let's be honest, it was like men v boys, but the match v Real Madrid wasn't men v boys. It was a proper match on paper. On the grass however, we were up for it, so were the crowd. Nothing like it, I was watching it at home but the atmosphere came through the screen and make no bones about it, Real Madrid knew they had been in a cauldron and had received a hammering at the end of it.I witnessed first-hand the 'Ballet on Ice' in 1967; beating The Red Filth 5-1 in 1989; Aguero's '93.20' in 2012; the 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid two years ago (note to my 7 year old self.. yes, it's true! one day your beloved Blues will thrash Real Madrid 4-0.. that's Real Ma-f**king-drid we'll beat.. and we'll completely outplay them and put four past them!!); and, of course, everything Pep has given to us
'Io sono contento' as the Italians might put it..
