Not a surprise, but hope he goes out on loan rather than permanently.
18 month loan to somewhere like Dortmund would be perfect. Suspect they'd want an option to buy though.

He seems to have lost a lot of confidence, which is understandable, since his broken leg. There is no team going to take him on loan or permanently unless he has overcome his injury issues.
The best place for him is with us until he reaches full fitness, if ever.

Glad I’m not alone in thinking this. He’s got a far higher ceiling than any of our wingers, IMO, and as you said, he’s coming off a big injury. I think a loan would be good, but selling him straight up would just be asking for this to be another Cole Palmer situation.I think it would be incredibly short sighted to get rid of Bobb. He’s just had a major injury and he just needs regular game time.
Long term I think he will end up better than our other wingers.

It’s weird how few opportunities Pep gives him when he’s very much in the mold of a player Pep likes—he does the simple things well, retains possession, gets his head up in the box, etc.
That exciting he didn't get many games before the injury. He looked a prospect. He may become really good he may not, its that simple.People have short memories. He was an incredibly exciting winger before the injury. His ceiling seemed potentially high. All they can see is how he's been since he's come back. And it's been decidedly unimpressive, but the actual minutes he's had to get back up to speed have been risible. Of course, he may not get back to that level. But if he goes, I feel this is another case of us binning off a young player without giving them a fair chance.
I'd much rather see Savinho go, if anyone's going to.
He has shown nothing to suggest he will reach the heights we need , unfortunately as I would love him too.I think it would be incredibly short sighted to get rid of Bobb. He’s just had a major injury and he just needs regular game time.

Different player returned after his injuryHe seems to have lost a lot of confidence, which is understandable, since his broken leg.
He’s not good enough to get minutes.
That’s the brutal reality. He isn’t good enough to play in this team, and no one is going to donate him 10 games being poor in the hope that his confidence improves and he starts playing well.
Also he returned from injury in March. pep and co. have been waiting for him to show enough in training to get game time for 9 months now, how long should they wait before moving on?
I think he’s going to go somewhere else, drop a level down, and in a year he’ll be fantastic, but there’s no pathway for him to reach his potential at City if he can’t get games now, when we’ve got 1 good winger.
Signing Cherki was the end for Bobb. He’s younger, better, has 10x as much experience and fills the same role - half winger half 10.
Had a few decent games hardly set the world on fire. An important goal at Newcastle is what everybody lives onPeople have short memories. He was an incredibly exciting winger before the injury. He's become timid which again is understandable.Different player returned after his injury
I agree, not sure that he’ll ever get back to his previous best unfortunatelyHe's become timid which again is understandable.
He’s one of the best young players in the country and people are judging him based on half a season (he hasn’t played much anyway) after a major injury. I mean how’s any youngster meant to get back after injury?Glad I’m not alone in thinking this. He's not like Palmer who looked like a game changer and as much as the massive blues don't like to talk about our mistakes, letting Palmer go and replacing with savinho was a mistake taken in isolation. He’s one of the best young players in the country and people are judging him based on half a season (he hasn’t played much anyway) after a major injury. For me he has better potential than all of our current wingers. As you say, it’s giving palmer vibes.
It’s short term thinking, as we only seem to care about instant success
I wish I could like this twice. The number of Blues willing to discard him for a shiny new signing is both mind-boggling and maddening. He’s one of the best young players in the country and people are judging him based on half a season (he hasn’t played much anyway) after a major injury. I'm another who would be very disappointed if he were sold, or loaned with an obligation to buy clause, anytime I have seen him play this season I think he is too restricted on the left wing, I've always seen him as a David Silva type player who does not have the speed to be an outright winger, but he does have great feet, is difficult to dispossess and has an eye for a pass- I would love to see him tried in a more central role, but realistically that is unlikely to happen at City at the moment, so a straight loan might be what is needed to get his career back on track againHe’s one of the best young players in the country and people are judging him based on half a season (he hasn’t played much anyway) after a major injury.
