Usually I’m against any form of military action, but have you seen what’s happening in Nigeria? Huge amounts of innocent people/ mainly Christians are being massacred and the country is being overrun with terrorists.

What do you suggest we/ the rest of the world do to stop that happening? Becuase diplomacy and doing nothing sure isn’t working.

Reading the reports the Nigerian government was involved in these strikes as well

Trump's comments are not welcome, pretty much the words of vile murderous groups everywhere but has he done the right thing? However, the really big questions are

"Should anyone interfere at all in these cases?" (Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, Myanmar, Haiti, Yemen etc).

"Should we just leave these countries to sort out their own problems and sit on the sidelines doing nothing, waiting for a winner, or get involved and try imposing our western ideals of decency and morality?"

The distinction between a few people using a religion to their advantage at the expense of others vs. religions existing for the purpose of advantaging a few at the expense of many is fundamental to understanding a conversation where that religious zeal is being weaponised. Whether you can successfully counteract it is dependent on an understanding of its nature. If you can't separate church and state in execution then you can't separate them in conversation either unfortunately.
