City Football Group (CFG) (parent of MCFC) issued £210m of new A preference shares on 30 June 2024

Hi, I'm currently conducting research for my dissertation titled 'Football's Expanding Empires: Fan Perspectives on Multi-club Ownership in the EPL' and I'm asking fans of every PL club for their views, I would really appreciate if any City fans would be able to take the time to complete my questionnaire using the link below!

How academics get away now with these surveys that include such a clearly biased POV and leading questions is ridiculous

Sorry to say that the purpose of your study if flawed from the off

You state:
These examples are designed with the Premier League club as the focal point of the structure, feeding off of developments in the smaller club(s) in the structure. This is a controversial set up

1- There’s nothing controversial about multi club ownership, it’s actually a natural progression of the globalisation of football &
2 - it’s absolute bollocks that City feed off the developments of the smaller clubs, quite the opposite in fact

Exactly. Start with the evidence and work your conclusions out from that. Don’t start with a conclusion (hint: that’s why it’s called a conclusion). Hope you didn’t waste your time.
Yup. But like most students, they don't actually give a fuck about their research. Guy posted that, logged off 2 minutes later a d has never been back. They're not actually interested in learning, they just want a degree

Don’t think (some of) their academics are too arsed either to be honest. Did a history degree a while ago and I’d have been fucked right off if I tried it on like that prick.

Nice one for telling him what’s what. Probably learn more from your response to him

What’s going on with the ISL ?

Shame to leave one of the biggest potential markets in the world.
They're broke and corrupt. I imagine every major foreign investor is going to be exiting. More here:

I wish we could part ways with this CFG thing.

I agreed and sympathised with NAC Breda fans when they told CFG to sling it when they tried to get NAC to join a few years ago:

I’d rather see money go into other things in Manchester for the Mancunian population: other sports, a rugby league club (doesn’t have to be under the ‘Manchester City’ name, would actually be a bad idea to really, make it more of a wider ‘Manchester’ club), I’d rather see investment in Manchester Originals cricket, in local athletics clubs, in local gyms and leisure centres to get more people more active and healthy, other business ventures not necessarily in sport… than in worldwide football clubs that do nothing for Manchester City or the Mancunian population.

I have no absolutely affinity for any other club in the CFG. Couldn’t even name them all. The news above^ is the first time I’ve thought about Mumbai City FC since the news first broke about them joining the CFG. Don’t know anything about them, how they’ve done in the time they’ve been with the CFG, nowt… with there being fewer than a dozen posts about them in their own thread in over two and a half years on this site, that would suggest most of our fanbase don’t have a scoobies or a care about them and will be wholly unaffected by this news that the CFG are parting ways with them.

Fucking hell, talk about ungrateful.

Yeah, they should look at other ways of generating revenue instead like raising ticket prices
