I don’t think Anderson is because he’s homegrown, it’s because he’s quality and leading most stats for PL midfielders. Though I presume his homegrown status may come at a price which makes it easier for us to shop abroad.

That said, Viana did have a preference for shopping at ‘home’ when he was in Portugal.

This idea of jumping the q, probably isn’t there. He either chooses us or Liverpool.

Ideally there form continues to drop and out of CL, whilst we win the PL.

Otherwise I think he is going Liverpool, play alongside Van Dijk for a season and then become main man.

At ours he would be part of a 3 with Dias and Gvardiol and whilst it’s a squad game, CB’s tend to be partnerships.

Great player and home grown, but we could have these bases covered with other players, so a new CB we could go worldwide and there are better

Here, he'd have to beat out 2 players for the job.

So our best defender -Khusanov, Most experienced - Dias, most talented, Gvardiol. He'll have to beat 2 or those 3 to start consistently.

I'm sure he backs himself. But the cleaner and clearer path is Liverpool. He simply replaces Konate who is going to Madrid.

Most likely top 5 will make CL. Liverpool is currently 4th and they've had their wobble. They might not win the league or contend for it but rhey will more likely than not get CL.

Besides, this would have been decided before he makes his decision. So, assuming they make CL, its a clearer route for him.

Coming to us simply isn't.

You have no idea who would be first picks, I don’t believe Pep thinks that way.

Too much obsession with starting 11s on here. Gvardiol dias guehi Khus would be great. Not holding out much hope though.
