Chelsea continue to make huge sums to help them pass whatever rules are in place, by devious means - the Abramovich regime; selling hotels to themselves; making money by selling ladies team to themselves. All very lucrative. Rules then brought in to stop any other club from doing the same. Some of the lower clubs could have benefited by doing the same but now can’t. Surely, they should be penalised by disallowing these incomes from their accounts.
Many new rules have seemingly been retrospectively applied to us but Chelsea get away with it every time.

@slbsn - why aren’t clubs complaining or is the issue not that serious? It’s all very complicated as usual.

They have been charged by the FA and will be by the PL. Selling an asset Intra group is not lucrative - it’s pure accounting profit rather than real. But it does help PSR compliance

Thanks Stefan.

Not seen James play midfield before. Christ, he was excellent. Fernandes and Caceido do the running and biting and he had the guile. A superb performance.

Yeah he was superb yesterday and he's stayed fit for most of 2025 which has made a big difference for Chelsea.

They could win something this season, a cup maybe, they're weak in a couple of important areas but they have enough to cause problems.

James is a brilliant player , would love him at our place shame about his injury record but it never affects his form when he’s back.
One of the best in his position in world football.

Agree. He seemed to pop up in the right places at the right time, didn't realise he had it in his locker.
Think he started out as a midfielder..at youth level anyway.
Always thought he was a brilliant player, when fully fit,and I ve said before he's prob the best right back in the world..again when fully fit..
I'm not surprised in the slightest he has switched to midfield, his touch and reading of the game is second to none, always has been.

That's what I see as unfair.
City had an investment strategy that had to be enacted over a long period of time because of the investment cash needing to be football derived.
Chelsea are seemingly allowed to use their non football assets as a vehicle to invest.

Their loss to Villa summed them up. Completely dominated the first half but failed to score. Second half more equal but Chelsea seemed to lose interest as the game went on. Their performances are not up to the level of their spending.

My train of thought too. But it would only be for the money, Chelsea are a basket case of a club.

It’s a club to make money for there hedge fund contributors it’s not a serious club anymore! Every player is for sale at the right price! This they won’t sell there best players is bull! They’d sell palmer in January for 120m if it was offered that is a 70m profit!
