I don't agree at all. We are always doing it less then our opponents. Haaland being fouled in the penalty area and don't even raises his hands. I remember Bob should have had a clear penalty against Spurts at home and he just plays on. We are to nice in my opinion and that makes us lose a lot of points. I don't ask us to cheat but at least complain when we are robbed of clear penalty deciosions.
It has happened to Phil more than once, fouls were clear (admitted even by pundits who hate City), the boy did not fall, penalties were not given. Phil (and the team) was punished for being honest...
I have commented numerous times on your second point: Yes, we do not even complain, because a) we are used to it, it's simply part of the reality playing for City (listen to recent comments by Pep, Bernardo, Rodrigo etc), and b) the team is educated to deal with the problem. We prefer to remain calm, maintain our composure, focus on the game. If injustice gets to us, if we become frustrated, lose our heads, then we will commit mistakes and underperform. As simple as that. And we will lose, to ref's satisfaction...
"
Too nice"? We are too honest, my friend. But it characterizes the whole organisation (if you follow the women's game, for example, you understand what I mean), it's part of our identity, part of who we are. It's also a weakness in this world. We will always have to work harder, and we are bound to always suffer...
However, as I said recently, the club has decided to remain silent. Club's policy. Which sends the wrong message to the media, rivals and refs -and the team will keep on suffering. It also leads to naivety and / or confusion and / or misunderstandings: Since the club does not speak, then there is no issue, right? Thus, a member of this forum introducing a thread in BM with this kind of content. Suicidal? Absolutely. Also embarrassing. And definitely surreal. You don't want to read my opinion on the guy and his views. Trust me, you don't...
