47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

The drastic loss of weight clearly shows there is a physical problem he is dealing with. We can only speculate what that is.

He no longer has the energy he once had and that is impacting on his ability to play like he used to.

I am sure Pep knows exactly what the issue is and he is constantly saying that Phil will be back as the player he was.

He needs the summer off to recuperate .

In the meantime he deserves our support not the persistent criticism he seems to be receiving from many on here.

He is one of our own and needs our backing at this time.

Get well soon Phil.

Not sure how he's going to get that increased game time. On current form, he's not worthy of a place in the team.

Sorry it’s me that I post like you have to read between the lines!

I’m saying he ain’t getting game to because of his of ball on ball form and if he has the summer of he will come back and he will play start a lot of games because majority of our squad would of been to the World Cup and need more time!

Something is clearly amiss with him. It’s sad to see him regress like this, and hope he gets whatever it is sorted and rediscovers his old magic. On current form it looks like there’s no chance of him going to the World Cup, sadly. Maybe the summer off will do him good though.

Looks physically off of it, felt like he got eased off of the ball so easily. Not sure what's next for him.

Don't want to see him go with England, doesn't need the criticism that will inevitably come with it. Needs a summer to work of his physicality.

If it’s just mentally this big drop of not physically after continually improving since he come in the team to end up top of that mountain winning player of the year! Then if he a lot harder for him to get back! That interview last year about your health is more important than football! Is always 100% true but why say it?

He’s hardly in the MJ category. He’s won the fucking lot, and was voted the best player in the country.

As for the here and now, I’m just genuinely sad to see it.
MJ was still being acclaimed as being the most naturally talented City academy product since Paul Lake.

Just because Foden has won lots of medals as part of a successful and dominant side and had one outstanding individual season doesn't mean he's fulfilled his potential.

I certainly know how debilitating and difficult to accurately diagnose and treat GI issues such as IBS/IBD can be.., but if that is the issue with Phil I find it hard to believe that given he surely has access to literally the best dieticians and medical treatment money can buy that they can't get a handle on it to some degree.

I’d leave him out the team until the summer. He needs a reset. He actually looked slow yesterday which is crazy.

If he has a serious health issue then why is he being cleared by medical staff to start games (or start as a sub) for the club?

Genuinely horrendous treatment of him by our medical staff if we are putting him up for selection if he is mentally unwell or physically not up to it (or both). If he's putting himself up for selection despite medical staff's advice, that decision should be taken away from him.

To be honest, despite many posters claiming there must be a health concern, weight loss etc, I find it really hard to believe the club would be playing him through it. If we are, then the club should take a majority chunk of the blame for his continued poor form.
