The don’t want to do it as it would show how shambolic the decision making is. Otherwise they’d do it already like rugby and cricket. VAR is fucked and needs starting again from first principles but they are way too arrogant for that

Why wasn't the referee asked to go to the screen to take a look at the two players impeding Pablo as he went up the ball? Any footage of the incident you can see the arms around him. If they weren't there, he doesn't need to reach across Raya to get to the ball.

If he was asked to look at that, or that plus his arm on Raya. The outcome should have either been a penalty to West Ham (as he was being fouled), or a goal (because both sides were equally to blame).

Going for a disallowed goal after approximately 50 replays from all angles shows that there was an intent from the off to try and disallow it.

You can tow the Premier League and POGMOL line if you want, I'm calling it out for what it was. Blatant cheating

Said it in the thread at the time but rat boy could hear the VAR feed. They spotted rice and troasard holding but inexplicably decided that the goalkeeper foul started first. They simply don’t know what they are doing at pigmol…..or maybe they do. Whatever, no accountability, no one gets sack, and a whopper that’s renowned for mistakes gets our cup final this Saturday. It’s totally shite

No it isnt. Its just that everyone is biased in some way, either in the moment (with home decisions or by the players protestations) or with some grievance towards one player/manager/team carried over from a past game etc.

if there is any grey area a ref or var van go with one way or another they will make a decision even subconsciously.

nothing you can do to ever rule that out.

Firstly it is not a 50/50. The Trossard foul occurs before Raya is impeded and it seems clear also that that first foul was the cause of the second.

Secondly even if 50/50, it is not clear and obvious error so the goal should stand

this, although i dont believe that money is changing hands to get a certain result there is "soft power" and biases that can bend towards a side in a close race. There are also a lot of mistakes and bad decisions but no one's perfect, so even the best refs commit mistakes, same as the players

We still have not heard the tape from the Rashford not-offside Derby goal. We know the broadcasters provide the feed and can hear the VAR discussions. It’s another step to suggest the VAR can hear the broadcasters. But there is no transparency.

The PiGMOL throw us a bone every now and again so they can say they are working towards transparency, but they are 100% not. The audio we get is carefully selected and no doubt edited to drive their narrative, but rest assured, the lack of overall transparency is by design.

That was blatant. If I remeber correctly it was deemed that his hand was in a 'natural position', which I totally agree with if his intention was to stop the ball with his hand. Pep was absolutely fuming, but aside from publically calling them out as cheats, what can you do?
