Chelsea (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

Is that the best goal ever scored in an f.a cup final....?
Watched it over n over again..

Tell me a better one.

Quality sammy....
Ricky Villa.......

The look Rooney gave him !

What gets me with this fat bastard is why does he think he’s a native of Ordsal or Weaste, when the truth is he’s a Scouse bastard, not a salfordian, yes he played for them but don’t act all big and I’m a red and hate City, you are just a fat granny shagging Scouse **** so get fucked

You are an Evertonian and never forget it

First to go unbeaten in BOTH domestic cup competitions in the same season apparently, although I don't really get it. Others have won both trophies in the past (including ourselves of course), so how do they get to do that unless they're unbeaten in both? The comment didn't make any sense to me.
Did we not used to have two legged semi finals?

Must be to do with the league cup 2 legged semi or penalty shoot out wins?
Yes, it's referring to straight wins, not replays or penalties etc. apparently. A bit of a daft stat really but it's another record so we'll take it.

I love winning this trophy. It’s the most historic club competition in the world stretching back to the 19th century. Always feels special to win it and what a goal to do it.

Our 11th most successful season ever too, if we don’t win the league, if we do then it’ll be absolutely mega.

A cup double in a transition season is mental. Well done Pep and the team, hope all City blues had a great day out.

Missed the first 25 minutes on the way up to my parents, stuck behind an abnormal load doing 10mph up the M42.

Put through the mangle once again, heart rate just about starting to decrease, but who cares. Brilliant goal and a great win.

Nice to get one over on them too - obnoxious niggly pricks falling over at every possible opportunity like they’ve been shot. On another day we could have conceded two or three nonsense penalties.

Apart from 15 minutes in the second half when the ref was falling for it, I thought overall he had a reasonable game, as did the VAR, so fair play to them. Pleased to see the ref tell Chelsea to get to fuck a few times and not be intimidated by the appealing.

Off to get pissed in front of Eurovision now. Very happy Blue indeed.
He was on VAR last week at the Arsenal-West Ham match so possibly mindful of the fact that another dodgy decision for a near 50-50 challenge wouldn't go down too well.

Not a classic final but a classic goal to win a final, good to see rodders back, thank you pep and the team for a great double this season, onwards and upwards next season
Will say wembley is a brilliant stadium. Noise really carries. Makes a great atmosphere
Well didn’t take much to improve on the old Wembley. A Disgrace for a national Stadium.

Chelsea were hungrier than us, but the only time I thought they would score was right after we scored. Looked much better when Cherki came on, and Kovacic did really well, Rodri isn’t quite up there yet.
Two blings and still a chance for a third, but I am happy whatever.
How so? They barely touched the ball apart from a few breaks in the first half(easy to do when you're offside all the time). Never looked like scoring to me.
