These European trophies have been massively devalued since their heyday as the European Cup Winners’ Cup and UEFA Cup. In their day, they were proper trophies with proper top teams in them.

Now even the Champions League has teams in it that would be nowhere near European football in the 1970s.

What you mean like Cork Celtic, Omonia, Hvidovre, Hjpesti Dozsa, Ruch Chorzow Ararat Yerevan, HJK and loads of other outstanding sides in the European cup in the 1970s
