Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Just want to put some perspective as some of you are wanking yourselves silly thinking all Gooners are crying into their pillows but we're all very happy.
Big “I’m not crying, you’re crying” energy there pal.

But you’ve got nothing to cry about. Has any team won their first CL final? I’m not sure. Good luck next season.

Up to 1 million fans currently lining the streets of North London would disagree that it was a shitter. That's 10x the number of City fans who turned up for your 1st title parade btw just for perspective.

Like I've said umpteen times we're happy and we build from here.
Fuck off you prick..
In case you haven't noticed there is a huge difference in population between London and Manchester..
100,000 my arse..
You listen too much to twitter bullshit..
Plastic **** calling out our support..you don't even go to games and spend your time on here when your mob are playing.
You should be banned ..Fuck Off ****

More fans trophy is a new one

But you don't have to go all out attack, you can still go attacking without completely abandoning their fundamental style. The few times they actually tried, they could get at PSG's defence but being Arsenal and the way they play, they didn't do it enough.

I just don't think PSG were all that good, they didn't seem to have many ideas. Our recent games against Arsenal showed you can get at them too, even when they're just playing not to lose. I was disappointed in the lack of attacking variation from PSG. None of them looked capable of producing any magic.

Mind you, I think the overall standard in Europe has dropped. Barca are Spanish champions and bang average. Arsenal are the weakest English champs in a good while. Real Madrid are not great and still handed us our arses, so you can add us to the list.

PSG are about the best of a bunch that aren't great.
Fair points - maybe it's true that I was a bit either/or there.

I tend to agree the standard is dropping too - we get called nostalgic but it's true, in recent years the standard has dropped I feel. I also agree Barca are average by standards of truly elite teams. It doesn't surprise me they keep faltering in the CL under Flick, and they're essentially winning La Liga by default due to the basket case Real Madrid are.

I still think PSG are an excellent team but I guess you can argue they aren't tested against a truly outstanding team, other than if you consider Bayern outstanding. Even last season - Inter aren't a top team.

I'd be very interested to see how this PSG team under Enrique would to against Pep's Barca or City centurion teams, or even Enrique's treble team at Barca from 2015. I rate this PSG team very highly but they were all even better imo. PSG would also probably control the ball against Ancelotti and Zidane's Real but would probably get hit badly on the counter.

Edit: I did mention in the match thread that PSG were rigidly sticking to patterns and not trying anything different or unique, so I agree fully with the bit about attacking variation, too.

Where are you getting your figures from?

I think he did learn it from pep, just not directly. He saw the master at work, he tried to copy it at first but he knew he didn't have the same genius and could never reach the same levels nevermind better Pep at it so he developed the anti-pep football to counter it.

For a team that loves to tell anybody within earshot that they're a massive club, the CL is never a free hit, it should always be a priority. For a club that has never won it whilst making those claims, that applies tenfold.

Well he has certainly managed to destroy entertaining football successfully , and hopefully will continue to prove to be the disciple who became the outcast !

Absolute fucking bollocks, Sky just showing the streets near the ground, you think only 100k turned up at our first Premier League parade compared to your 1 million? Loads of itinerant fans amongst your bunch as well, plus that part of the Second City is a fucking shithole.

First?

That ain't their first rodeo. But it very well might be their last

Worst go at a quad since Rik Mayall. The world still hasn’t stopped laughing at your arrogance, entitlement and hubris being brought crashing down to earth
