Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Up to 1 million fans currently lining the streets of North London would disagree that it was a shitter. That's 10x the number of City fans who turned up for your 1st title parade btw just for perspective.

Like I've said umpteen times we're happy and we build from here.
Lying, bitter, Tarquin, ****!

1 million fans?

Ha, ha, ha!

Now fuck off, go to the CL final losers parade, and wipe away your salty tears.

Stick that one in the trophy cabinet.

Would love to meet the person who went round counting everyone. Completely made up figures with zero validity to them. All Arsenal fans sound like TY right now trying to convince yourself you're nothing but happy.

No real football fan would have shaken off the failed opportunity to win your first CL within 24 hours. Doesn't matter who you support, if you give a shit about football, that is an absolute killer and will not fade for a fair bit.

You are playing the worst football of any champions that I have ever seen. You can line the streets with 10 million, I wouldn’t swap to watch that shit.

Fair points - maybe it's true that I was a bit either/or there.

I tend to agree the standard is dropping too - we get called nostalgic but it's true, in recent years the standard has dropped I feel. I also agree Barca are average by standards of truly elite teams. It doesn't surprise me they keep faltering in the CL under Flick, and they're essentially winning La Liga by default due to the basket case Real Madrid are.

I still think PSG are an excellent team but I guess you can argue they aren't tested against a truly outstanding team, other than if you consider Bayern outstanding. Even last season - Inter aren't a top team.

I'd be very interested to see how this PSG team under Enrique would to against Pep's Barca or City centurion teams, or even Enrique's treble team at Barca from 2015. I rate this PSG team very highly but they were all even better imo. PSG would also probably control the ball against Ancelotti and Zidane's Real but would probably get hit badly on the counter.

I do think PSG are a good side but I wouldn't put them on the level of Pep's city side, apart from the last couple of years. Our treble side that ran over Real Madrid would have done them.

I think PSG last season were much better than now actually. They dropped a fair few points in the league this season and it's not a great league. Despite getting over the line in the champions league again, I think they're starting to feel the effects of all these games, summer tournaments etc. As well as the weight of expectation.

I thought they looked a bit spent last night. They can still knock the ball about and keep possession but couldn't go through the gears. Arsenal looked like they had more in the tank but didn't have the balls. PSG were very beatable last night if a team went in with the right mentality.
