UAP/UFO thread - Non-Human Intelligences

We’ve been around for 300 millennia to get to where we are not a couple of centuries. We’ll continue to advance and invent within the constraints of the laws of physics, but there is a lot of science behind being unable to travel faster than the speed of light and Einsteins theory, which is very different to working with what we do know and making advances in technology.
Will that science change, will the laws of physics as we understand them change, maybe but they might not too, we might be right as they stand. If we are they apply to everywhere else in the universe too.

And that happens to be only 0.005% of the known/calculated time on earth.

His point is valid, if such advancements can be made within the space of some 200 years, what might happen over inconceivable timeframes over unfathomable distances of space, is, well inconceivable to us.

Concepts of physics such as displacement, gravity, inertia, speed of sound, speed of light etc did not exist to us.. until they did. Physics and science is not finite and we haven’t come to an end of it. Our understanding will continue to develop for centuries after us. And who's to say that can't have been developed beyond our current understanding of it elsewhere in such a vast expanse of space and time.

That's always been my take too. It's inconceivable to me that one little planet has millions of life forms yet there's nothing else anywhere on any of the zillions of planets out there.

Scientists say it's impossible to travel beyond the speed of light but we just don't know. 75 years ago people were saying it was ridiculous to have a handheld device that you could use to talk to somebody on a planet from space (Star Trek), my uncle used to laugh at it. Now that device can speak to somebody live on the other side of the planet by video and also take photos, video and a hundred other things.

150 years ago we couldn't even leave the ground. 250 years ago a lot of the gadgets we have now would have been considered witchcraft. Long before that was thought that you wouldn't be able to breath if you travelled at over 30 mph. If we've advanced this far in a couple of centuries how advanced will civilisations be that have been around for millenia?

We do know we won’t be going past the speed of light as our physical bodies are now, we would end up as spaghetti.

The invention of drones in Ukraine has brought on exponential advances in warfare and that would be the most promising way we could explore the universe as a mechanical being.

Time and distance is another factor so we would have to find shortcuts and be able to reproduce our mechanical selves.

But what if we were in Stasis like in Red Dwarf?

Years ago I read the hynek ufo report/ book. Full of fuzzy photos, indeterminate videos, stories of abduction etc.

That was 60 or 70 years ago, technology has moved on. And yet we still get fuzzy indeterminate photo's and videos.

Something tells me it's a load of bollocks.

As someone who is really into the topic, I've resigned myself to the fact we'll never get definitive proof, and that's if it even exists.

First off, If there is alien species with capabilities of visiting earth, they certainly don't want us knowing about it or they would show themselves, wouldn't they?

So either they don't visit and it's all bollocks or they do but they don't want you to know and have some agreement with the powers that be not to just rock up in public.

Now let's say it's the latter, for the sake of conversation, then there's absolutely no chance you're getting full disclosure from any government or associated organisations. That'd me a massive can of worms opened as its just them admitting they can hide something so big from the public and did. So they're never going down that route

That's why nobody interested in this topic will ever get satisfactory solid proof. The government might feed you a few "top secret" grainy videos and even then you have to question why? It's not for your benefit, Its always for theirs.

So the reality is either its all bollocks, or you have alien species coming here that clearly have no desire to show themselves, or you have governments who are clearly able to keep what they know from you to the point even supposed whistle-blowers can't provide proof.

Whichever way you look at it, it means nobody will get 100% solid undeniable proof.

If they are here and they don’t want us to know they doing a bloody awful job of it.
The Yanks were far more successful with the F117.

Yeah. To be clear, I do believe that the universe has plenty of life that’s way more intelligent than us and even more that is much more basic. But none if it is here. To paraphrase Hitchens; if they are here, they’re clearly not trying to hide it *that* well, so why the lack of ‘evidence’ outside a few fuzzy photos and the testimony of a few unreliable witnesses. Instead, there’s promises of a future revelation and shards of ‘evidence’ available only to a few. And we’ve all heard that before…
