Also the difference with PSG is that most of the teams in the Prem have reverted to what I would call a traditional #9

Haaland, Isak, Sesko, Gyokeres, Watkins, Thiago etc. In that white they can influence play they primarily hold the line and stay focal against a low block

Dembele is a bit more nuanced than those and often pulls out to the wings or deep behind they try to break down teams (less so when countering)

Such a great take I completely forgot about this. We can never replicate them for this exact reason. They’re like us during those 2 season we didn’t have a striker but with more reliable players everywhere…

Another reason why I think they always look more energetic than teams is they’re league mins compared to other players like Rice or Haaland. They league treats them so well that they allow games to be postponed so they have extra rest and they use their role players like Barcola to play the league games which is enough to still win it.

They live in this weird fantasy alternate universe where they have all these benefits and can just get stronger and stronger like they want Kroupi and guys like that it’s so hilarious

That’s a joke of a price tag for someone who should’be had a hattrick against us. I really liked the player before that player thought that technical quality was exactly what we needed especially after watching Semenyo and Marmoush trap the ball or in tight spaces.

Savinho missed the opening three games last season with an unknown injury, and Grealish went to Everton four days before we opened at Wolves. That meant we only had Doku and Bobb, and we were playing Foden and Silva on the right before Savinho finally started versus Burnley.

I’d heard that this deal should have gone through last summer, with Akliouche all set to come from Monaco to replace him, so maybe it’ll happen this summer.

You’re not wrong. Has potentially a fantastic future, reminds me of Antoine Griezmann. I watched a lot of Griezmann in his early days at Sociedad when he was a young left winger and it was clear then that he could be converted to a CF. Fernández-Pardo has very similar traits and like Griezmann links play up well with his teammates.

Matias Fernandez-Pardo can play anywhere across the frontline. Has pace and is technically very good. 21, so room for growth.

There could be a surprise player step up from the academy, but I think would really struggle for any youngster to get game time.

If we go for 23 man squad really hope it is a very strong squad and we bring in top quality so we can seriously go for UEFA CL and domestic trophies.
