Khaldoon's end of season interview | Pt 1 (p3) | Pt 2 (p12)

Hmmmm, interesting timing releasing the end of season interview today, don’t the ‘experts’ think it’ll be a Friday or a Monday for you know what;)

Me too, problem comes when you're looking everywhere for them, then ffs they're on top of my dome. 8>/
I took one of my mates to an outpatients appointment at hospital about 10 years ago, late September so I was still wearing sunnies. This was in the days before I wore varifocals. At one stage my friend remarked to me ' do you know you've got 3 pairs of glasses on top of your head'. I was aware! Sunnies, readers and distance! I'm not as bad now, can do two since I bought a pair of varifocals for when I'm out. Incidentally I don't need glasses all the time- not that you'd know it!

I've just watched the interview, I feel reassured, but Khaldoon is so good at that. X

The interview focused on the season’s success, Pep’s departure and legacy, Stones and Silva, and our existing talent. The highlights were probably that we have a new manager lined up and there will be new signings in the summer.

Not sure Pep would appreciate he mentioning the need to be persuaded not to quit several times but maybe I’m being a bit touchy. Just didn’t sit well.

A journalist on the bluemoon pod said he was collared by Pep for one of his tweets and in his on pitch farewell, Pep said “I always made my decisions for the best reasons and for the club” which to me says, he read an awful lot of stuff posted on line, not just journalists or peers, but us fans
As an example, think of the posts following the Chelsea CL defeat and we all asked why didn’t he start Rodri.
I truly believe he sat and read this forum

Was it Mooney?

The amount of time and travel Khaldoon has spent related to City is astounding. Even 1st Class travel is tiring plus the constant time changes. He has been doing it for near 20 years and clearly loves football and City.

However you do wonder how long he will be able to continue to carry out his Chairman duties so diligently when it is essentially not his main job which also requires travel and to be away from his family.
He's no swales

Fascinating to hear that Pep has "quit a hundred time before" but each time Khaldoon convinced him to stay.

Would be interesting to know what was different this time compared to previous.
My thoughts are when he signed the two year extension he would do one and get to 10 years. Said it at the time (and got shot down!). :)

He was forever being asked in PCs are you renewing etc. Distracting.

I truly believed then that he would leave this summer and it was agreed with KAM at the time and that’s why.
