I'm just guessing here. Nothing concrete(excuse the pun), but something maybe happening on the Collar site?

Noticed black hoardings behind the long term green hoardings today. Also noticed a digger near the white building on the corner.

Just had a look at the aerial picture from the twitter page posted this week.

You can see the black hoardings which are much further along now. You can also see grey portacabins(?) and the digger parked up next to the white building.(still there)

I Like I said, just a guess, but intriguing. I'm on holiday next week, so I'll nip down and take some pictures.

I've noticed that as well.

Wonder if there widening the entrance to Commonwealth Way in order to make a start on the bridge.

I can confirm that this area is the lay down / assembly area for the new bridge.
Due to the main span of the bridge over the junction being 45 Mtrs long it will have to be final assembled on site (i.e. in this lay down area) before lifting into place over the junction in one piece.
Work on the assembly/erection of the bridge is due to start by end of November, running into the new year before the bridge being in place.
I know this because I work for one of the companies who bid and was involved in the tender for these works.......alas to say we lost the job :-(

Thanks for that M24.

Wonder if they'll move it into place something like this?

New Metrolink bridge over the M60.

One of the (end) stands hasn't been started yet.

Yeah but look at the opposite stand. It consists of literally about 5-6 rows of concrete standing space - not even seating, if you look at the concept designs - and a pretty much hollow walk-space behind to the exit, with the stadium wall surrounding. plus that comparatively flimsy piece of roofing section. Seriously, what has been built on the opposite side is practically the entirety of that end of the pitch. I reckon they could knock up the opposite side in about 2 weeks. Maybe one. To contrast with your view, you can already see from one of the other pictures that the pitches are already ready to be laid out, so I think they're making good progress.

Went past it today for the first time since Friday and a third of he steel has been put up, at this rate will be done by the end of next week.

Just drove past the new training facility, the steelworks are going up for the final stand (south?). Moving pretty quickly as well. Those who said doable in two weeks won't be far off at this rate.

I dont think it has been mentioned on here but Spurs' plans for a new stadium have been put back again as Levy has now, apparently decided on new architects and has asked Populous to come up with a plan.

Spurs fans are of course pretty pissed off as it delays the start of the project significantly but also because they are not likely to see that massive single tier stand that we all liked the look of when they released images of the original stadium.

It seems its RIP

I for one would love to see a huge single tier stand at one goal end, with budget seats for City, to encourage a proper wall of noise.

Having looked at bigger renderings of the expansion proposals for the South Stand, I noticed that at the back of the proposed 3rd tier of the SS, it looks like it will be open or have some sort of perspex glass at the back of it. I've never been a fan of this tbh, but I think it does make for a more dramatic effect being able to see people inside the ground when you're outside of it.

CFA and stadium expansion all due to be completed by 2015/2016. Crazy stuff.

Drove past the new training ground today and it looks like they are starting the foundations for the bridge. Two square holds on both sides of Alan Turing Way with fencing round. Looks like it's just started this past week so nothing major happened yet.
