I reckon so, he wouldn’t tweet it otherwise. Bloom will have already filed the request in the ‘don’t give a ****‘ folder though unless his (as yet mythical) valuation is met.

Naylor is pretty cautious, and mostly spews up what the club tell him (which is understandable otherwise he’ll lose his sources). If he’s ever sounding certain, then it’s definitely come from the club (the one area he’s usually quick and correct on is squashing rumours of players linked to us)...

Yeah….usual made up nonsense. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was in Barca for a day or two (most of the first team seemed to have the weekend off) but he was back at the club yesterday for sure. There’s literally no new news on this transfer from any reputable source IMO (actually a good reflection...

Has he downed tools then ?

He was in Brighton yesterday for the club’s media day stuff……

Problem is it's that 10% that makes the real difference between an adequate LB and a very good one which he's developed into..................my guess is we'll buy one anyway and Marc will leave next summer (unless you cough up the full amount - whatever that is - now). Personally I'm not...

.......but we had more cover at CB (and conveyor belt of them coming through/out on loan) so the value to us of Cucu is higher, because we can't say the same about LBs, particularly with his attributes and versatility. Cucu is also a better player (he must be, otherwise Pep wouldn't want him).

Agreed......wouldn't be the first one-season wonder, but I guess we think he's worth the risk.

It is the model (some of our lot still don't understand that hence the wailing on Twitter), but here it's simply the number that's the issue - your valuation doesn't meet ours. What we gain is keeping our clear (players and fans) POTS (probably for one more season max), in a position where we...

    Marc Cucurella

Exactly…….some laughable stuff being posted on both sides, almost all of from people making it up as they go along. The irony is that if/when the deal is done, we still won’t know the details anyway- literally all our business is ‘undisclosed’ (and if anything leaks, Barber will be swiftly in...

Still here, just nothing worth discussing re Cucurella as total silence from anyone who might know anything at all ‍ edit…..obviously not banned (yet)

    Marc Cucurella

Can see he’s maybe not worth 50 to you, but he probably is to us - pretty much irreplaceable at the moment at our level (as shown by the donkeys we keep getting linked with as ‘replacements’). Add the fact we don’t need to sell and looking less likely a deal will get done IMO - only unknown...

  17. G

    Marc Cucurella

Correct. Most of us have no fury or indignation….we know where we are in the food chain (moving up, but still a way off the top table). It’s very early days for us in this multi-million transfer market, we’re just incredibly lucky to have a club owner that’s a fan and who has a clear strategy...

  20. G

    Marc Cucurella

That’s how most of us down here see it. Meet Bloom’s valuation (none of us know what that is) and you can have him (we know where we are in the food chain, but of course we’ll be disappointed if he goes), otherwise we’ll all just crack on. Cucurella will perform for whoever is paying his wages...
