Lucy Letby infant murders trial - Guilty verdict (P 13)

There is certainly a current NHS pension for Letby which even if frozen will mount up steeply over the next 30 years. This must be immediately cancelled in view of her crimes. She'll never get her OAP either at the proper time whilst incarcerated. Myra Hindley was definitely attacked 2 or 3...

Best car chase in a movie.

Probably Bullitt with the hilly San Francisco road hills but The French Connection runs it very close. Honourable mention for Ronin too.

Lucy Letby infant murders trial - Guilty verdict (P 13)

And after her return from the burns unit a razor blade is pushed through the bottom of her cell door by another fellow inmate.

Best shoot out in a film.

Several shoot outs in the film "The Wild Bunch" 1969 directed by Sam Peckinah and starring William Holden, Robert Ryan and Ernest Borgine. Rivers of blood. And the director included amputees in the action for greater authenticity.

    Sevilla (N) | UEFA Super Cup | Post-Match Thread

One thing about Seville's record though. They hold the record for most UEFA cup/Europa league wins (6). However of the Super cup games against Champion League winners - they have lost all 6!

Lucy Letby infant murders trial - Guilty verdict (P 13)

What a horrible excuse for a human being. She should be incarcerated for a whole life term. Full inquiry needed for the trust's failing management and heads should roll. No compensation either as consultants' fears were ignored.

Happy 80th Birthday Robert De Niro.

His early career was outstanding (Godfather 2, The Mission, Taxi Driver, Heat etc). But he's made far too many lazy non challenging sub standard action comedies (Dirty Grampa, The Intern etc) purely for the money and to support his many ex-wives and offspring

    Last Film You Saw

This is basically just a slasher movie. The earlier version (1962) with Gregory Peck and an amazing performance by Robert Mitchum was a classic. Both actors had minor roles in the remake.

Your favourite old black and white serials as a child.

The horror series "Thriller" in the early 60s presented by Boris Karloff was pretty frightening. Stephen King declared it the very best horror fix ever. Boris also appeared in several of the episodes. The over-praised Twilight Zone wasn't a patch on this as most episodes were...

Wierd stuff that scared you as a kid.

The Hitchcock classic Psycho. Young blokes just didn't dress up in old ladies clothes and go on a murderous slash fest. They also didn't keep rotting corpses in the fruit cellar either.

    Favourite Comedian

Actually Peter Sellers in the early Pink Panther films especially Shot in the dark. His Inspector Clouseau was a magic creation. Also decent mention for Steve Coogan especially for his Paul/Pauline Calf roles. The 4 Funerals and a wedding short film was a classic. In the film It's a mad mad mad...

    Community Shield - Arsenal (N) | Sun 6th Aug - 16:00

I did know that. A recurrence of last season problem. But he was mouthing off last season and should still be silenced.

    Community Shield - Arsenal (N) | Sun 6th Aug - 16:00

In the past we haven't taken the Community shield too seriously - Liverpool and Leicester getting the upper hand. Must have win to put the skids under Arteta and Arsenal. Pep's only lost once in 10 games against them since Arteta left the Etihad and this must continue to silence Jesus and Zinchenko.

    Russia

The earlier Moskvitch was one amazing car. Could do 90mph but the brakes were so shit it struggled to stop. Interior trim - what interior trim? Flaky paintwork. Cheap and very nasty. Not too many sold over here. Marginally better than the East German Trabant - dashboard made of stiffened papier...

Stupid little things that bug you

The nickname for Peugeot is Puke Show. For mass produced cars they're still amongst the most unreliable.

    Premier League or Champions League?

We should really add to our total of Champion Leagues wins. That's what gets recognition worldwide (Real Madrid as prime example). After all even Stuea Bucharest have won it once and both Chelsea and Notts Forest twice (okay the last European cup). Let's hunt down the rags 3 times and then...

Pointless, Randon yet quite interesting facts...

In 1962 Accrington Stanley, one of the founder members of the Football League, were expelled owing to non-payment of debt. Even though a local businessman arrived at league HQ with a £5000 cheque to cover this at the 11th hour. The best of the non-league sides replaced them in the 4th division -...

Not quite. The official title of Holland is The Netherlands.

Pointless, Randon yet quite interesting facts...

It is frequently held that the Great wall of China is the only man made structure visible from space. Wrong! Admittedly it is over 2000 miles long but only 11 feet wide. Another urban myth
