I'd rather keep it, but if we scrapped it and fans can accept the outcome without crying, moaning and calling conspiracy to the officials outcome then I'd be more than happy to see it gone.

Or you are just hard wired to think the ''cartel'' are anti man city and pro Man Utd and Liverpool and you will never ever change your stance. I personally felt Man Utd got many favorable decisions prior VAR on a far more regular basis , I also felt so many players dived with zero contact and...

It was already implemented in other leagues before the PL, so the PL wasn't the ones to bring it in. However, i did argue at the time they should have focused on one specific part of VAR and implement it more slowly - ie: for the first season have VAR just for offsides, the following season...

But wasn't it easier for the ''cartel'' to prevent you and stop you prior VAR when officials can just disallow goals and give penalty decisions against you with no recourse ? As backed up by many, pre VAR Man Utd were getting farcical penalty decisions and other decisions their way on a weekly...

Was you pleased VAR was in place to award Citys goal at the weekend or would you preferred to leave it to the officials?

Yes first couple years for VAR was always going to be a minefield and it highlighted to me just how hard it was for officials to call, was always going to take a good few years to implement changes and improve - it always will.

Yet fans still go pretty mental every time a goal is scored, I was in the home end at Spurs v West Ham and every time the ball hit the net fans were going wild around me. Now, my anecdotal evidence doesn't speak for everyone and I've every sympathy and understand that the instant gratification...

VAR has been successful most weekends since it's introduction, you only want to hear about the controversial decisions that over shadow everything else, you're even half disappointed when VAR is the reason you get the 3 points at times.

Is the FA Cup becoming boring

Farcical that is. Down to the manager who he decides to field.

On a side note, dry cough during the night - couple of table spoons of Honey actually worked.

Except many say Man Utd were getting corrupt penalty decisions and getting away with murder on a regular basis before VAR ? You want a return to that?

stated it was a small poll, but a interesting perspective from a fan that was initially against VAR but having experienced it with and now without , he would prefer to have VAR in place. thought it was a interesting take.

Here's a interesting small pole. Luton relegated and back in Championship, they've experienced a full season with VAR and now into this season without. https://luton.vitalfootball.co.uk/luton-town-back-to-the-great-var-debate/ 70% are now pro VAR.

There’s various polling around and it’s hard to get a overall picture https://www.ipsos.com/sites/default/files/ct/news/documents/2024-06/Ipsos%20May%202024%20VAR%20charts_V1_PUBLIC.pdf The key one for me here says that over half fans would keep VAR if it was quicker and less involved - I...

No digging here. You want to go back to a time pre VAR where Man Utd get farcical penalty decisions on a ‘weekly basis’.

No, as the weekend showed , normal reffing results in unjustified incorrect decisions - Saliba red, Kudos red, Vardy Pen, Fraser red, Stones Goal all wouldn’t have happened if it was down to normal officiating.

I think the silence says it all. Fair enough if some don’t like VAR but it’s clearly not benefited the likes of Man Utd who could get away with so many blatant non penalty decisions go their way and reckless fouls on a weekly basis. I wouldn’t want to return to those days.
