PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I broadly agree. It's hard not to think it's politically motivated to create maximum damage. Historically Stefan disregards all politics, innuendo, conspiracy theory etc irrespective of how much weight we might put on it and sticks to the legal interpretaion.

See his huge contribution to this thread and his podcast/spaces work. Before CAS there were all his very detailed articles...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not quite, we are 3rd behind United and Liverpool for PL TV audences. But it is a fact 5 of the 6 most viewed PL games in the last 4 seasons involved City. When PL/domestic games are combined with European games, we had our best ever viewing figures last season AND WERE THE MOST WATCHED TEAM...

It's been more or less double for years. There matchday income has been in the range £107m - £111m from 2016-2022 (except covid impacted). Ours has been in the £50+m range over the same period before hitting £70+mil this year. I don't know why theirs has jumped.

No! Still mainly good value compared to awful matchday pricing for tickets. They doubled the number of matchday memberships in the year as well. Every penny counts as far as they are concerned..
