Think the Guimaraes signing for Newcastle is going to look very good in hindsight. I would’ve had him for that price this summer.

Unless his mind is made up on Arteta and Arsenal I was hoping the reports of 7 clubs being in for him would mean we’d have a bidding war on our hands. I don’t think the fee is terrible given the remainder of his contract and our past of selling players, but there aren’t a lot of solid strikers...

I think he’d have extended by now if he intended to. Rather than losing both him and Gabby on frees next summer, I’m looking to swap him out and extend Gabby. Would be cheaper for us wages wise as well.
