    Budget 2024

just to add to the other post. It's being going on for decades (since the 70s) being brushed under the carpet waiting for people to die to reduce the compensation. It's a similar story to the Post Office one.

nope, I'm just paying it and paying my staff whatever increase they deserve as the business is profitable still and it sounds like you need a new CFO to me as they're not thinking clearly about growing the business themselves.

they'll still get the vast majority of its just a tiny percent ie the very wealthy will pay any IHT.

    Budget 2024

Yeah 100% it is a tax loop hole. At the end of the day the vast majority of descendants will be paying 40% tax on anything more than £1million. so they'll be receiving in excess of this no matter what. That is a ton of money to hand to someone one one go. How much wealth do people need?

    Budget 2024

I think you missed the bit where she helped small businesses by raising the small business relief from £5k to £10k. So the Ni increase won't be felt by small businesses. Middle and large business like mine will be hit but they can take the hit as they're by definition more robust and profitable...

    Budget 2024

I must admit I was bloody nervous coming into this budget. I thought reeves was going half my wealth and knacker my business but she's played a blinder here. Yes I'll pay shit loads more tax but it's not a big ask. It's still quite reasonable. I don't mind paying an extra couple of % of NI for...

I certainly would, any game where you're 5-0 up is a rubber duck to be used as a training exercise

    United Thread | 2024/25

seriously? it's just mental that you class a 5-0 aggregate win as a draw

    United Thread | 2024/25

why mention they got a draw against us then when they actually got a hammering

    United Thread | 2024/25

we were 5-0 up after the first leg so it was obviously going to be a 0-0 draw or a low score win to us. We had already won the tie and also had a big game at the weekend so conserving energy and minimising injuries was the key. The fact is we absolutely murdered them in the first leg at their...

United are so badly run they'll probably hire Ten Hag as Ten Hag's replacement

yeah there is unfortunately, maybe in 5 years it could be a possibility

    Savings

yeah I'm thinking of selling my business in a couple of years and retiring. I've created it from nothing to something that hires 200 people so I don't fancy those plans being heavily impacted by a new government policy

I have no idea what Stephen Warnock was going on about proximity for. Usually you have to be close to a player to commit a foul on them
