Are you proud to be a Manc?

I was born in Ardwick in the early 1950's, and over the years have lived in Gorton, Stalybridge, Bournemouth, Denton and Rossendale. However, if someone asked me where I'm from, I would proudly say Manchester, no hesitation. Mad for it, our kid.

    Football Shirt Collection For Sale

Whilst Mark has amassed an amazing collection, the largest in the world, personally I can't see them fetching anywhere near the sum mentioned, unless City step in. Maybe one of the first team can buy them, it's only small change. :) I was thinking of putting a bid in, but when I raided my...

The bits in white are the new metal parts when I had my total knee replacement eight weeks ago due to arthritis. You can clearly see the metal clips holding my knee together, which were taken out six weeks ago. I'm pleased to say I am now 90% back to normal, and fairly pain free, but it has been...

What's the closest you have been to death?

As per thread title. In my youth, when I was about nineteen, myself and a few mates were messing about in an old quarry near Hyde. There was a stone wall about fifteen metres high and for a dare I decided to try and climb it. The first few metres were easy enough, but when I got three...

    Coronation Street

I've watched Corrie since the very first episode in 1960, missed around fifty episodes maybe up to 1977, and not a single one since, due to the invention of video recorders. Yes it does have it''s ups and downs, but overall I love it. Here is the Corrie set with The Imperial War museum peeking...

When / why did you become a City fan?

My dad took me to my first game v Blackpool at Maine Road in 1961 (He went to the 84,569 match v Stoke City in 1934) I started going by myself most weeks during the 63-64. My favourite game of all time was Newcastle away May 1968, the title decider.
