Man of the Match - Sunderland (a)

    Joe no doubt.

    Sunderland Post Match

Obviously played crap but it's all about the points now. We've been poor most of the season & I can't see that magically changing, so as long as we manage to keep picking up the points then I don't really care how. Hart MOTM.

[Official] Guardiola to manage City next season

Surprised this was announced before we or Bayern were out of CL. Could make for an odd occasion.

    Guardiola song....

Indeed, we'll have 3 years to sing his name. For now Pellers deserves to get a good send off.

    A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

Class act. Certainly not the best manager in the world but certainly one of, if not the most classy. Hope everyone gets behind him for the rest of the season as he's done nothing but give his all for City & would love to send him off with some successes.

    Should Navas be starting games?

The stats comparing him starting with him not starting would suggest we're better with him in. Said it y'day, we'll miss KDB's end product but it's certainly not the end of the world if he misses a few weeks as we'll be forced into what worked so well at the beginning of the season & have...

    Quadruple...

I'd be happy with 1 the way we're playing this season. It seems pretty amazing that we are now in a final, 2nd in the PL, have a great opportunity to progress further than ever in the CL & still competing in FA cup considering how poor we've seemed compared to past seasons in terms of overall...

    Raheem Sterling

Ups & downs with him, think in general he's been fantastic; great work rate & he keeps chipping in with goals & assists at a decent rate. Pretty much what you expect from a youth player which is essentially what he still is in my eyes. Agree with what most on here say in that I'd like to see...

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

Hopefully nothing serious, a joy to watch. Honestly don't think it's as damaging to us as it could be though if he's out for a few weeks, we'll obviously miss his productivity but we'll be forced back into what worked so well for us at the beginning of the season now with him & Nasri out (2...

    City V Everton pre-match thread.

Gonna be a tough match as always against Everton. Besic was great against us in the first leg so the fact he's likely not available is a plus. No reason we can't get through.

    What's our strongest eleven?

    West Ham post game....

Yes I don't think bringing on Fernando against the 10 men of Everton at 2-1 down is a good choice, and I don't think bringing Fernando on against West Ham at 2-2 is a good choice.

    West Ham post game....

With only 7 minutes to go though it's pretty negative to put Fernando on who offers virtually zero threat going forward, could have dropped De Bruyne into CM or brought on Fernandinho for me - if we lose a point obviously it's a negative but I feel that's a smaller negative compared to how big...

Rate our summer 2015 transfers out of 10

Personally think we had a good window in terms of standard of players, just not convinced we bought the players we needed, or not convinced Pellegrini has figured out how to get the best out of everyone given their favoured positions. Otamendi 7/10; shown how good he can be, but shown how bad...

    West Ham post game....

Yes he didn't have a particularly great impact in those 30 minutes, but that's not my point. He's been good for the majority of the season, so to say he shouldn't start over someone whose been poor for 4-5 matches now because he had a poor impact as a substitute seems a little odd. Not to...

    West Ham post game....

He also hit the post with a glorious chip. Unlucky not to have a hattrick. We barely got the ball to him & Toure kept hoofing it long to him, you could see him asking why & pointing to his feet, maybe Toure didn't realise he's quite small - to have done the damage he did with so little of the...

    West Ham post game....

Dinho/Sterling aren't the undroppables though. Yaya, Silva, KdB & Aguero are the undroppables; yet don't fit very well into a starting 11 together. Doesn't matter who you fit around them, it's always going to be unbalanced in the formations we play with those 4 in the team.
  19. S

    West Ham post game....

Drop Silva & drop Toure. Simply out of form at the moment regardless of their names. Get KdB central & put 2 wingers (Sterling/Navas) on the wings, give Kelechi more game time if we need a goal (30+ mins) as he always has a positive impact when he comes on. Oh and stop bringing Fernando on when...

    West Ham post game....

Decent result realistically, but we really need to start winning some of these "tough" games, we seem to drop points each time they come around. Fair result really, didn't do enough to win. Iheanacho was great when he came on, Aguero by far and away our best player. Payet fantastic for them...
