    MCFC U-18's

Media mentioning the England U17s win last night and the fact Bobby Duncan scored the winning goal and him being a cousin of Slip Gerrard. It does however state that he is a City player with no mention of a dispute. Anyone with any up to date news on the situation? Whilst I'm on here why do we...

    Leicester (a) pre-match thread

Apart from Spurs away this is the only fixture that worries me. Can see us having 80% possession but we must be so mindful of their quick counter attacks. If we can nullify the supply to the runners then we will win.

    Arsenal (h) pre-match thread

Would start Sergio for this one. Now the anticipation of the record has gone and he is a few games in from the injury I expect him to score at least two goals in a 3-1 City win.

    Napoli (A) Post Match Thread

Wow and Wow again! Just the opposite of the first game with Napoli in control for the first quarter. After that we were just brilliant yet again. Congratulations to Sergio.

    Napoli (Away) Pre Match Thread

Bit negative there Tolm. I genuinely believe we can get a result in Naples if we set up right and nullify their own passing game.

    Julian Weigl

Seem to remember Alonso doing alright when he played at Candlepool and he was certainly no speed merchant. This boy has similar,if not better qualities and reads the game very well. Get him signed Pep.

Can't believe the negativity again. City win by two clear goals. We are the champions elect.

    Top 6 mini league 17/18

I think you will find that we are included in the top six and therefore its 10 games with 30 points up for grabs. Unless of course you're including Everton in a top seven. Lol.

    Burnley (H) Post Match Thread

A difficult team to play, bad weather and tiredness from the midweek game and yet we still win at a canter. Ederson is immense and the two central defenders have struck up a solid partnership.

    Burnley (h) pre-match thread

So much negativity about this match. We are one of the best teams in Europe, we are playing at home and we will win by at least two clear goals.

    Napoli post-match thread

If you watch the match again it appears that all our energy went into the first 30 minutes or so when the football was breathtaking. After that, and even though they pressed higher with more numbers, we did not have that one outlet from the back that enables us to turn defence into attack so...

    Gabriel Jesus - 2017/18 performances

This boy has a tremendous work ethic and is a real team player. He will only get better and score many, many goals.

    Napoli post-match thread

First 35 minutes WOW! Then we seemed to turn off and in the second half a lot of our passes were lazy or not as crisp as earlier on. Napoli sensed the situation and then played some great football themselves pressing very high to cause problems and force mistakes. Great win.

Every confidence for this one. Wouldn't like to predict the score but definitely a City win.

    Julian Weigl

As I have mentioned before this lad has an old head on young shoulders. He works out his options before he receives the ball. Would be a great addition to our evolving young squad.

    Our Improved Defence

Defence starts from the front. Our work rate and stealing the ball back high up the pitch is phenomenal and similar to the Barca of a few years ago. Just look at the change in KDB. Last season he would lose the ball and then just stroll back. This season he is winning the ball back quickly and...

    Alexis Sanchez

There are pros and cons for this debate and yes I do remember the Rodney Marsh situation very well. Unless it affects the dressing room atmosphere in a big way ( which I doubt Pep would allow ) then its a no brainer. So its a yes from me and see you in January Alexis.

    Napoli (h) pre-match thread

Napoli's strength is the high pressing game and their ability to pass the ball through the defence at speed for the runs of the three small guys up front. The defence is not great and will not be used to our kind of game. If we can nullify the supply of ball from their midfield with our own...

    Bernardo Silva - 2017/18 performances

Pep has done exactly the same with Bernardo as he did with Sane last season and introduce him slowly into the frantic world of the EPL. Once fully acclimatised he will be immense.

    Ederson Moraes - 2017/18 performances

We have found an absolute gem. This boy is going to to be a great for many years to come. Some of his distribution is sublime.
