Are we looking to sign a striker?

Apart from the rollover teams at home, such as Villa, Newcastle, etc one of our major problems this season, especially away from home, has been the lack of goals. If you take away Aguero and KDBs ( at home) goals who else can you be reliant on in this department? If Bony is going then we...

    Gundogan

If this is true then we can already see the effect of the pull that Guardiola will have on our summer and long term signings.

    REALISM- final postion in league

With Pep on the way and several big signings predicted it is imperative that we finish in the top three. With us chasing three teams I cannot see us winning the title this year. Every match should now be treated as a cup final although we must improve on our goal scoring exploits.

Capital One Cup Final - post match thread

    Well done boys. Immense result.

    Jesus Navas

Pep likes all his players to press and work back if necessary. Most of our midfield usually can't or won't do that, with exception of Dino and Navas. Unless he wants away I think he will still be with us next season.

    Jesus Navas

In the last two home league games I think we have missed both Jesus and Kevin.

Post Match Thread: Kiev 1 - 3 City

Great performance tonight. We appear better suited to the Champions League this season than the EPL.

    Aleix Garcia

For his first senior outing thought he had a good game yesterday against arguably one of the best midfields in the premier league. Along with Manu did not appear overawed by the occasion and showed some lovely touches. Hopefully with our new manager he will learn how to close down and dispossess...

Has the Capital 1 Cup Final become the pivotal game of the season?

The season seems so flat at the moment and for me a top 4 finish is absolute priority. Can't imagine Pep or any of our prospective top signings being too impressed with the Europa League.

    Chelsea post match thread

Thought some of the kids showed class and adaptability, especially the two Garcias and Tosin. The set up again let us down allowing Chelski too much time and space for the killer ball to their runners. Fabregas had an absolute field day and was never closed down. Senior players very poor and...

    Peps Targets

Let's face it we have a great but ageing midfield that on occasions this season have been swept away by aggressive, fast and well disciplined opposition. Pep will change all that with his brand of football and whilst retaining the services of some senior players will bring in at least two...

    Pre & Post Match | U21 Derby - 11th February

It was a little bit like watching the senior team with plenty of possession and not much end result against an organised defence. Also the odd malfunction in defence. From this performance did not see anyone that could make that move up into the first team at the present time.

How far will the fall be before evasive action is taken?

I would not say we are in freefall but our inconsistency and lack of form ( coupled with the injuries ) are worryingly leaving a big question mark over a top 4 place. Should the unthinkable happen then it will have a knock on effect with summer signings. Let's just hope we can pull out of this...

    Chinese Super League

Whilst the Chinese economy has stalled ( dragging the worlds finance with it ) the country now seems to be on a fast track to embrace the world of football. With the recent investment from China in CFG watch this space.

Very poor, but a win is a win. Now let's beat Leicester.

[Official] Guardiola to manage City next season

As exciting a day as the takeover. Also love the timing on transfer deadline day.

    Nothing coming in this window?

Whilst a few positions need addressing I do not think we will see the cheque book coming out this window. In any case January signings can in the main be disruptive. Let's go with what we have got and see where it leads us come the end of the season.

    Lacazette

This time last year, having watched him on several occasions, I thought he was a perfect fit for our team and style of play. This season has not been as good, albeit injuries have been a problem with his progression. He is however coming back into form. He is not an Aguero but he has the speed...

    Nothing coming in this window?

If Bony moves on ( which is a big if ) then perhaps we will bring in a replacement. Otherwise cannot see any movement on the transfer front. January transfers can be disruptive to the squad so let's stay as we are until the summer.
