Maybe our 4th best but hardly a stellar season. How did he compare to Gundogan and Pogba?According to the stats ( Whoscored.com), Yaya is our 4th best player this season.

Both are Statistically superior to Yaya. But that's neither her nor there.Maybe our 4th best but hardly a stellar season. How did he compare to Gundogan and Pogba?

Neither one of Pogba or Gundogan are hardworking tacklers. Granted, Pep tactics might help, but I thought that was the general complaint with Yaya and Silva. Great when we have it and soft when we don't. Both Gundogan and Pogba can be described as such.
I think both players are amazing, but does it strike anyone as weird that a team that show very little aggression defensively now wants to go out and get the 2 most talented players that show the least amount of aggression on their respective squads.
Pogba puts in the least effort at Juve, and is easily covered by a Tevez like tenacity of Morata, Suarez like pestering of Dybala and 3 other extremely hard working midd in Khadera, Machisio, and the Colombian. Something similar at Dortmund too. Now both maybe a lot better than Yaya or Silva defensively, but neither should be mistaken for a defensive stud.
Yaya & Fernandinho are better than Pogba & Gundagan imo.
Fernandinho was the best player on the field when we played twice against Juventus.
I think there's been less control of midfield from them. My point was to the poster who suggested we stick with the players we had. I still think we need a genuine destroyer or defensive minded player behind them but who is technically better than Fernando and Delph. Both are Statistically superior to Yaya. But that's neither her nor there.
