    Aymeric Laporte 2018 performances

Finally a much needed replacement for Kolarov in terms of those long diagonals. :) Oh I see I'm not the first to notice.

    Phil Foden - 2017/18 performances

Cheers @twosips for answering my question immediately. :)

    Phil Foden - 2017/18 performances

Where is this 'out for the season' thingy come from? Lots of random twitter posts suggesting it, but surely bullshit?

    Aymeric Laporte

Looks like a handsome fucker. I've already decided he'll be a successful signing.

    Brahim Diaz - 2017/18 Performances

I think irrespective of this season he should go on loan in the next one. You can bet that we're for a winger / forward in the summer again, and Brahim isn't disclipined enough to do what Silva, Gundogan or KdB are doing now.

Leroy Sane - Ankle ligament damage confirmed

I'd say his unique style of play makes him more irreplaceable than missing any of Sterling/Jesus/Aguero, so that's pretty shit. Still, it's not the business end of the season, but even beating the likes of WBA or Burnley or Leicester seems harder now.

    Fernandinho - 2017/18 Performances

Yes. He managed it quite well the last time when he had 4, so here's hope he can do with only 1 yellow up until April or so... Or win all the games in the league until he gets those two extra yellows to give us some comfort. :)

    Danilo - 2017/18 performances

'Attacking' doesn't just mean providing a shooting option for our midfielders, so that's a no for me. Some of Walker's passes to Sterling or crossfield passes have initiated great attacks for us too. It's true that Danilo finds it relatively easy to overlap and get in a good position to finish...

    Leroy Sane - 2017/18 performances

And I think they did the same with Aguero or some other random guy from our first eleven. Found it weird, but perhaps they decided these two are the biggest threats to their goal...

    John Stones - 2017/18 performances

I think we've reached a point when there is no point to even discuss this topic furthermore. :)

    John Stones - 2017/18 performances

So what your point is? I liked Nastasic but your post suggests that we'd be at our same level playing wise with him in the side, yet you think I'm the deluded. Stones is in a bad moment and hopefully he cuts out occasional blunders, but surely we won't compare his contribution to Nastasic...

    John Stones - 2017/18 performances

Will go against the flow and say he was actually very good and kept our game flowing nicely for most of the game. I'm not even sure you can blame him too much for the first goal, too.

    Jonny Evans

Remember when the odds went bonkers and everyone was shitting it. Those were the days.

    Fred(Signed for United)

Shit just got real if Di Marzio is reporting it. So... I know jack shit about him, but whoscored has his position in the double pivot for their 6 CL games this season. Which makes it more than likely that he will be the understudy of Fernandinho once he comes in the summer, right? Though at the...

    Jonny Evans

Totally OK with us not pursuing Sanchez anymore but this would be a bit too much. Sort it out lads.

    Alexis Sanchez

I wanted him (well I wanted him back when Mancini did too and he was at Udine), but you can absolutely understand the club why they decided not to continue with the bidding war. United have bigger revenues and thus they can cover large wages and they seemingly don't have a strict wage structure...

    Phil Foden - 2017/18 performances

Initially as far as I can recall Pep said he's out for at least a month, but we're nearing that and I was always hopeful that if it's the minimum length then he should be back in time for at least the Bristol semi second leg.

    Ilkay Gundogan - 2017/18 performances

Will need to rewatch the game once I'm sober but didn't think he was that bad as some make out. Much better with Silva against Burnley indeed, but still did OK. It is Bernardo that I'm getting more frustrated with but I'll have to give him a bit of a leeway after that assist as well. :)

    Bristol City (h) pre-match thread

I would have had Tosin and Diaz there but well, Pep wants a bit of a trophy rather sooner than later. I think thi is definitely the case as it has been already in some games (never from the start, of course).

Hopefully Tosin features in both legs throughout the entire match, otherwise we should be loaning him out in January, me thinks.
