The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

These new restrictions are going to remove all unrestricted on street parking for literally thousands of match going blues, the closest on street parking will be getting on for 2 miles from the Etihad on the other side of Edge Lane in Tameside.

Yes, you will be able to continue to park on the south side of Ashton Old Road, this area is unaffected by the new residents scheme.

The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

I think the signs are only for the new parking bays, the wardens were slapping tickets on the vehicles that had parked up on Croft Street (where the new double yellow lines) have been marked) on Tuesday night.

The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Sadly it looks like a significant number of blues may have fallen victim to the traffic wardens this evening, I spoke to one earlier and he said they had been instructed to issue to all vehicle parked up on the new double yellow lines.

The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Looks like the free on street parking may be difficult to find from today, new double yellow lines have appeared on Croft Street, Aintree Street, Cantrell Street and Linfield Street removing in excess of 100 parking spaces for match going blues.

No, blue badge are exempt, you can park in any of the residents parking bays within the scheme for as long as you won't really, but only if you display the blue badge in the vehicle.

The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

The new scheme is ill conceived and badly thought out. Introducing parking restrictions to combat/deter pissed up football fans or concert goers from pissing up people’s properties simple isn't going to work, the only way to stop this anti-social behaviour is with enforcement by the police...

The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Not sure how introducing parking restrictions around the outskirts of the Etihad will stop or deter pissed up blues from pissing up the side of residents properties, care to explain?... With regards your point on taxi parking blocking driveways and leaving engines running, firstly I find it...

I certainly looks like a money making enterprise from a match going fans point of view.
