Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

He can, yes. Still, we can have an opinion on how that affects our perception of him. He is still good enough to play at the very top. Why pack it in now? He'll do what he wants but I hope he does it in Europe instead of MLS or Saudi. That will still be there in 3 or 5 years.

yes mate I thought so too.

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

Listening to Marcotti and Laurens and they seem to think he actually has limited options. Barcelona is out due to financial situation. It's pipe dream stuff. MLS wage cap restricts his earning potential so Inter Miami seems unlikely. He'd have to want to transform US Soccer. Saudi will pay him...

I didn't want to say but yeah he could go that way too. Hopefully got his head screwed on.

Once you've proven everything, I'm sure priorities change. For him now he's maybe thinking about what he can do once he retires from football. There's a lot of good you can do with £320m. He could set up a foundation like Bill Gates. Hopefully he does something positive.

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

I'd trust Pep to find a way I just can't see him coming here. Whatever made him choose Paris in the first place hasn't changed. His desire to go home to Barcelona indicates that winning trophies isn't necessarily his priority. If he was ever coming he'd have done it by now.

Unfortunately it will often be like this as long as there are seriously competitive, seriously rich clubs in bigger cities with nicer climates than Manchester. Right now it's only really Madrid and Paris that pose a challenge but the norm will be for London and Barcelona to be back on that list...

    The Title Race 2022/23

I agree a bit of pressure is good, especially ahead of the CL Semis. They will be in the zone in terms of focus and intensity. The way it's worked out, chasing for months but only really having to deal with super high pressure of being the leader for a 6 week run at the end, is fairly perfect.

Mate you're clearly just looking for something to be aggrieved about, enjoy the rest of your life.

You did miss it cos he definitely acknowledged it. Even if he didn't it's a petty reason to start hating on him. He never looked happy? Wtf? You're just making shit up.

I saw him acknowledge it from the other side of the stadium. Some people are just desperate to be aggrieved.

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

I think it's harsh to say the main superpower is being loaded. Of course I agree it's necessary given the inequality in the game. It's basically impossible for a non established club to consistently get further than say, where Brighton are now, without a sugar daddy. But at the same time...

Kylian Mbappé | Real Madrid Player (pg620)

He won't go to United cos they have Rashford who I understand from all the press is actually better.

    Jude Bellingham

For every City player you can also name every Madrid player. I'm not saying City is not a good option and I can even accept that some people might prefer a quieter life in England as it's down to personal taste, but this idea that living in Spain is "not a consideration" for Bellingham is crazy...

    Jude Bellingham

Sure, my point isn't that he wouldn't enjoy his job in Manchester though. Just that he could enjoy it just as much or more in Madrid depending on his taste. Modric, Benzema, Kroos, Vinicius seem to be having a good time.
