The phrasing of Pep and all the situation seems reassuring and that KDB will be available in 3-4-5-6 days.
So it's fine after all.

Guy is busting his hump, playing at Ballon D’Or level and has barely had a week off in two years…cut him some slack!

Whether he has got a knock or a slight strain, or wants a week on the couch, I don’t give a fuck as long as he turns up when needed…and he does!

The lad is (was?!) THE superstar on the team, not a minutes trouble, good family man, well spoken ambassador for the club…both on and off the field!

FFS, give him some R&R, as needed!

Happy to see him rested if it is needed. We were down to the bare bones last season after the Atletico Madrid games and arguably it cost us the CL semi final. We just about managed to get a defence together for the final league games but it was very much makeshift.

Pep went early with the changes against Leicester, he made a lot for the Sheffield United semi final and I was surprised that he had Bernardo on the bench against Fulham, with De Bruyne out of the squad but we managed to win the game. We've got to continue on that basis and take some risks. Liverpool ran out of steam last season because they worked the team into the ground.

If we're to beat Real Madrid and go on and win the CL we need De Bruyne fully fit and firing. He had to carry Belgium in the WC, he's played on the limit this season and he's looked completely burnt out after an hour in many games. We've got enough match winners to cope without him, and Alvarez has showed a real ability to play a similar role with his excellent vision and passing range.
