Simon Stone's done it again. Another article on City, another (I quote) "City will get no sympathy because of their success and the money they have spent to achieve it". Someone should spend a little time looking at how many times he decides who is worthy of sympathy and who isnt, and see...

    UWCL Hammarby IF Fotbollförening v CITY (A), Thursday 21st Nov 2024, 17-45PM.

Same as the men's team! Great having a forward as good as Shaw or Haaland, but if a few others are missing you wonder where the goals will come from (Hemp, Roord, Miedema, Foden, De Bruyne...). It's actually possibly a bigger problem in the men's team.

    UWCL Hammarby IF Fotbollförening v CITY (A), Thursday 21st Nov 2024, 17-45PM.

True, but we were also without Hemp, Roord and Miedema. Probably at least 2 of them would play normally and all are a proper goal threat.

I know Everton have a lot of issues, but they really need to do better for women's football by finding a proper, decent venue for their matches.

    City Kits - 2025/26

They'll be guessing though, based on the rumours. When this usually happens the actual kit usually turns out slightly different.

    Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

Agree, there's times where teams look there for the taking and we seem happy to play out time almost. Even if just for the excitement of the fans, it would be better to be a little more direct in those circumstances. It feels like we are saving our legs when we do this. If we end up fit and...

    Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

I just mean I'm not sure I want to stick up for him either - it's just posts that are so fully critical of him seem slightly OTT. The difficulty with him (for me) is that as he hasn't managed anywhere else there's no track record to speak of, and I personally find it difficult to tell if he's...

    Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

We've got options. Any team would miss Lauren, but we're probably better equipped than most to cope in the short term. Fujino, Fowler, Kelly and Park could all play there. Plus Lily Murphy and O'Hanlon maybe too. Maybe even Miedema too, depending on her fitness etc (can't remember her current...

    Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

It's comments like this that makes me stick up for him, and that annoys me because I still don't know what I think of him. We're doing well in the league and in Europe. In fact, it's hard to do better than we're doing. Chelsea have an incredible large and quality squad and it is really...

Yeah forgot about that. Barca away on Dec 18th, then next game is united at home on Jan 19th. If she's not back for that it'll obviously have been something a bit more serious.

    Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

Hope it's nothing serious for Lauren and just a case of getting the op done at a time that reduces her City games missed. Obviously until we know more, there's always the risk it's a more serious knee issue, fingers crossed it's not. On a happier note, congratulations to Laura Blindkilde-Brown...

    City Kits - 2025/26

Is the sash a darker blue or a lighter blue? Having visions of the 18/19 Home with the shaded shoulders here... :/

    MCFC women vs Hammarby

It's pretty irrelevant, even if you said Sweden tbh. Imagine if England were playing Spain and the ref was from Scotland. Yes, there's a common history, but does that mean our neighbour wants us to succeed?

City v Spurs, Etihad Stadium, Friday 8th November, 7.30pm

Alternatively it means we keep possession and drag their forwards out of position as they try and press, opening up space for us in midfield... We're winning mostly, doing well. Biggest issue against Spurs recently has been refs, hopefully a good game tonight though!

    Georgiy Sudakov

That vid is the first I've seen of him. Looks talented enough. Not sure where exactly he'd fit, but not against us signing him. Closest I think from those few clips would be a Kev replacement? No problem with having him learning from him for a bit as an understudy, while he's still with us.

    The Manchester Evening News

Very very rare that I click on any link taking me to their site. The quality of reporting is shite, and the site is barely usable due to the volume of ads. And thats before I get to how biased they are. It's nothing but clickbait these days.

    City Bogey Team(s)

Spurs away feels like a pretty regular issue. And at home sometimes too over the last ten years TBF (though we've also spanked them a couple of times).

Benjamin Mendy - City lose case and Mendy awarded £11m in back pay (p168)

Presumably as we thought we didn't need to pay him, we also maybe couldn't fine him for unprofessional behaviour during that time? Now he's been paid, can we fine him for every indiscretion that he made?

    Media discussion - 2024/25

Stone said similar last year, I complained to the BBC about it and pointed out he never mentioned it when united had injuries. Got fobbed off, obviously, despite a few responses back and forth. Might try and dig out their response.
