Very surprised City haven’t gone for Mendes when it’s £35m. Always got the impression it was the €50m they were quoted that put them off previously.

Really really hope it works out for him as our striker. As good as he’s looked against Arsenal and Norwich we’ve all seen him have games where he’s been anonymous, although mainly when he was on the wing.

He’s just as good if not better in the CL (Think his conversion rate in CL is like 40%). Although he didn’t score against us you could tell in both games how much just his presence effects defences.
