Is that what you say to yourself when you look in the mirror. But don’t take it personally one of your buddies has given you a thumbs up.

    Nigel Farage

You obviously don’t know the difference between a public and a private company and there is little point in telling you the difference

    Nigel Farage

With the risk of repeating myself, my point is not about him. To take it down to your level, if someone was barred from taking a job because he was in a Trades Union you no doubt would be hopping up and down defending their rights.

Families can have as many kids as they want, just don’t expect the tax payer to fund them.

As expected , missing the point.

Well it’s actually a public company, not a private one and in addition the tax payer still has a massive stake in its parent company. Not sure who you mean by “they” when making the decision to bar someone, the decision will be down to a he or she making a subjective decision,no doubt swayed...

    The Labour Party

And there lies the problem. Resistance to change . From Porter right through to Senior Consultant, none are prepared to accept advice on how their jobs could be done more efficiently. It’s an impossible task for any Party to bring change and a political hot potato as well

    Worst pain you've experienced

When our cat died at the ripe old age of 19 me and the Mrs were devastated , even though it was the most anti social cat you would ever meet. It hated being picked up and would only give cuddles on her terms. All I can say at this very sad time for you is try to think of the fantastic life you...

Huw Edwards - 6 month suspended sentence (pg 107)

I think you need to look a little bit harder. It covers a multitude of subjects, that’s what makes it so interesting.

Huw Edwards - 6 month suspended sentence (pg 107)

It’s a very sad situation for him personally, of course it is and I wish him and his family all the best in what is a very difficult time. What I have found mildly amusing is the amount of private sites who stopped all talk of it, yet on Social Media the knowledge was widespread. Christ it...

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

That’s exactly what will happen. The rich will want to protect the school and their own kids education, the school will want to protect its existence, the first casualty will be those on bursaries, but never mind there will be a place in the State system for them.

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

I can’t argue with that re Capital Gains despite most of my income being from capital gains over the last 20 years. There are ridiculous discrepancies between Capital and Income Taxes, add National Insurance on Income and extra allowances against Capital Gains and the margins are massive. If...

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

I would have thought if it was classified as a subsidy at the moment, the fees would be tax deductible against the parents income. I would say it’s the other way round , they are contributing to the State Sector via their taxes for a service that they are entitled to use but chose not to.

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

Labour haven’t got around to the finer points of what will be included within the charge. As the VAT rules stand at the moment the very wealthy will avoid the VAT charge if they pay all the school fees up front. What next, VAT on private heath care.

Spot on. The same people would have no qualms paying over the odds for a property because there is a good school nearby.

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

I am fortunate/unfortunate, depending on how it’s looked at to fall in to a band H. It’s a very crude way of defining wealth and penalises those who chose to put their money in to their home rather than other assets. There are many properties that have been re developed, extended etc that still...

Scrapping VAT and removing charitable schools - Labour policy - do you agree with it ?

Believe me, as someone who went to a Secondary Modern School, we were cannon fodder who’s sole intention was to provide an ample supply of labour to do the jobs the private and grammar school parents didn’t want their kids to do. Low achievement was expected and delivered. Perhaps the...

And dumb down the excellent reputation that our Universities have, which could affect the recruitment of overseas Students that pay substantial funds to held run them
