    Matheus Nunes

People know when their rewards are merited - even if they're loathe to admit it - everyone knows that none of his medals from last season were earned (although I may be wrong, and he may be a Scott Carson style bonus on the personality front). You would have though that a once first choice...

    Gabri Veiga

Not IMO. Think that the player is very overrated, and he his agent tried to take advantage to shop him around. Not one club, apart from a Saudi one, was interested enough to make an offer acceptable to Celta (and it won't be a huge fee either). Thats the whole of Europe taking a pass on you...

    Matheus Nunes

Take a look at his play for Sporting to see what he can do in a team that has possession, rather than his Wolves play. Good shot on the lad also.

Throw 'em 40m, loan them Phillips & McAtee.

Like Nunes a lot. But in a manly way. And not a gay manly way. Move on.

    Nicoló Barella

Kovacic bring nothing like the attacking threat that Barella does. Barella is not a defensive mid, nor even a holding mid. I do love Kovacic so far though.

    Cole Palmer

Me too. Hopefully this will push Palmer to fulfill his potential.

    Nicoló Barella

Very much wishful thinking... But we pretty much survived on blind optimism during my first 25 years as a blue.

    Kalvin Phillips

We already have that person in Kovacic, but need someone to be able to play in CM for when he does cover Rodri. Barella would be perfection (and a lot better than Paqueta), but let's see who we get.

    Nicoló Barella

Brighton do have tremendous recruitment strategy. Think what he may be saying though is that its horses for courses. *I do agree that the cupboard looked pretty bare on Saturday though, and that a RW & CM would have been nice to have.

    Nicoló Barella

Because we go after a different profile of player. Virtually none of the players that we buy for the 1st team are unproven on the PL or CL stage. The only exceptions to that - over the past years - have been Jesus, Alvarez & Perrone (who has barely made an appearance, so you can't really count...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

They could even install a Subway. Damn.

    Dani Olmo

Going just off today's showing, Wirtz would fit us a lot better, IMO. (Not seen enough of Wirtz to comment more than that).

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Watching the Levekusen v. Leipzig game, there are 3 take-aways : 1 - Wirtz would be a lot better in CM tham Olmo. 2 - Leipzig have no CM to speak of. 3 - Some unfunny div will write something to do with food in reply to this post because of the word take-away :)

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

If the masses need placating then the masses should fuck off and support Utd or Chelsea. City are reigning PL, FA Cup, European Cup & European Super Cup champions, so the masses can 'suck it' if all they're interested in is shiny new toys. That said, a new CM & RW would be nice. : )

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I'm not relaxed about the situation (think we should get a creative midfielder & a winger as it happens) BUT not in the least bothered if we miss out on both Paqueta & Doku. Not good enough, either of them.

    General transfer rumours

Funny go many people have suddenly come round to my idea, from earlier today, that missing out on Paqueta would be dodging a bullet....

Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Thats the subjective question though, isn't it ? Would he ? Could go the way of Nolito & Kalvin Phillips, could go the way Bernardo & Foden.

Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

My own personal view is that we'd be dodging a bullet if we don't reach an agreement for him. £85m is massively overvalued for a player I genuinely don't see coming in and being a valuable creative addition. And before people say, you're not Pep / Txiki etc., how many Fred, Maguire, Sanchez...
  20. C

    Dani Olmo

People who call him not good enough have their right to an opinion, but it's genuinely not on that I share. IIRC he was in the Zagreb team that we played a few seasons ago, as well as being in the Leipzig teams that we faced over the past few years, and he's been one of the most dangerous...
