To be fair to Palmer he's 21. Sancho was 17 when he decided to leave.

Good point…..I honestly believe he’s ready to challenge this season - something has clicked but he can’t demand an assurance from Pep as I doubt he will get one

Agreed. Hope Cole can get more minutes this year and be even more integral to this amazing squad.

There is no point about moaning we have a small squad then sell someone just because we are buying someone. Cole should stay, he will get plenty of minutes. We have lost or will lose Laport, Cancelo , Gundo and Mahrez. KDB out until Xmas. We will need Cole to step up this season, I think he can do it.

Issue is Cole wants to play more and therfore is more than likely wanting to go

If we don’t get a really decent fee then we should keep him despite him wanting to go - he can surely compete with Doku for plenty of minutes. Really hope he stays

Given Doku's injury history, it would be silly to sell him IMO. Give him a slight pay raise and promise him starts in cup competitions and I think he'd stay... One of West Ham's best players play on the right wing as well. Brighton is even more full of competition.

I hope he stays also , but listening to what pep has said so far , I feel it's unlikely , and we tend not to keep want away players

Where? For Laporte? Cancelo? Gundo? Maybe Mahrez, but the lad is a few lbs and at least 1-2 years from fulfilling the potential some on here believe he has.

If he can get a few quality minutes, start the occasional game, and learn his craft on the training ground, there’s a chance he can be a real player.

To date, there’s been an occasional flash, with the curling left footer into the far corner (stock in trade of a lefties playing on the right) being his party trick.

He’s too lightweight at present, still looks like a deer in the headlights at times, and still loses the ball a bit too often for his output.

There is definitely a player there. The only question is whether there is a player who can make an impact in the Best Club Team in World Football today? The jury is still out.

He could do worse than a loan to a good sized club that should vie for promotion from the Championship. Needs some “chops,” because his game is pretty static and one-dimensional at present.

There’s no doubt he has scored a couple of meaningful goals recently, but (and I hate to even think this way) it’s just not enough in this team!
