The Super League | FA + PL: New Charter & Fines | UEFA: Settlement

There’s ‘dog sorry’ and cat sorry. ‘Sorry I got caught’ I suspect we are hearing a lot of the latter sort from various clubs so far.

It’s up to clubs to run their finances in a way that does not involve shit like the ESL. Maybe the era of £20mill contracts will come to an end if they can no longer sustain the debt. I am certainly not shedding any tears over the financial hole clubs like RM and Barca have dug themselves into...

    Tevez better than Sergio?

The key phrase is ‘all round’. in terms of attitude and goal-scorer - Sergio - all day and every day. But if your tactics need a goalscorer more able to come deep and fight then a head-wobbled Tevez might be the one. He and Sergio were great together.

But what would have been so bad about being left behind? Especially compared to the entirely predictable and reputation damaging shit-storm that was bound to follow? Unlike some other clubs, our owners don’t need to inflate the value of the club. They have all the money in the world. In...

Repercussions - From the PL, FA, UEFA and within the Club

There have to be consequences for the owners - not the players and supporters in the form of points deductions. No idea what form that could take though. I wouldn’t complain if forced resignations and a ban on the executives involved were implemented. It wouldn’t surprise me if the authorities...

How are we all feeling about our club today?

    My thoughts exactly.

The Super League | FA + PL: New Charter & Fines | UEFA: Settlement

The idea that we were ‘forced’ is absurd. We chose to go along with it. We could and should have said, ‘No, and further more we will fight you on it.’ Or - ‘No until you set up two divisions with promotion and relegation.’ No one can bully a Sovereign Wealth Fund and a leader of a rich oil...

Hard to have a secret super league. Someone was bound to notice.

A classic political tactic is to fly a godawful policy kite just so people are grateful when you float a slightly less awful proposal.

It’s The Sun. But they’re telling me what I want to hear. I’m so confused.

The question is - what is their source. Fingers crossed.

It’s certainly a rumour from just one source. I’m not breaking out the champagne for an unsubstantiated rumour.

Work permits are not restraint of trade and they already apply for foreign players and soon (if not already) for European players. The Home Office sets the criteria.

There’s nothing behind this but wishful thinking generated by anonymous social media crap. if it happens then great, but I’m not holding my breath. Either way, it’s hard to unburn bridges.
