The Super League | FA + PL: New Charter & Fines | UEFA: Settlement

Maybe but the reports said 22/23. But even if they did you are right, it could be accelerated. Let’s hope this whole thing gets strangled.

The Super League | FA + PL: New Charter & Fines | UEFA: Settlement

We were a year out of Europe despite all our lawyers. This proposed competition starts in 22/23. I don’t fancy a year of no league or cup games, with all our players suspended from international football on top. This could get very nasty.

The Super League | FA + PL: New Charter & Fines | UEFA: Settlement

Electorally this is would be a win with all football fans. You can tell from what they are saying and who’s saying it, that they are serious. Even better - these are clubs and their disaffected fans are largely in Labour voting inner city wards It’s going to take more than a few backhanders...

No argument from me. This thing is a big no-cost populist win for them.

The Government has said it will do ‘whatever it takes’ to stop this and if they mean it they will. The clubs can probably kiss goodbye to work permits for starters.

Leicester City (H) Post Match Thread

He was worth it then but he’s worth a crap ton more now. Unlike John Stones. And the trophies he played a huge role in delivering are undoubtedly worth a further crap ton in sponsorship deals. Given the crap ton we have wasted on players like Mendy, Stones, Mahrez, Rodri etc etc etc in the last...

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Try reading all my posts before flying off the handle. I don’t believe it is possible have even ‘alleged offences’. if a game is rigged explicitly against you, you cannot by definition cheat. However if you continue playing the game with the same rigged rules and likely to be under even more...

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

We probably technically are because the rules were written by cheats to trap New Money clubs and keep them out. But as far as I’m concerned you cannot cheat cheaters. Unjust rules are made to be bent or broken so we are guilty of nothing whatsoever.

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Will be interesting to see the full ruling but my bottom line is that if our activities fall foul of a law rigged to stop challengers to Utd and their ilk and we ‘got away with it’ then good on us. Their entire debt burdened business model Is one big cheat in any meaningful sense of the term...

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Yea. Not losing any sleep. Cheating a rigged game isn’t cheating in my book. Sadly the game is still rigged and the scrutiny likely to be even more intense so best be careful.

I’m as pleased as shit with the outcome. But let’s not forget a big reason is that the clock ran down on some offences so the club has to learn from and avoid those mistakes. EDITED to add. I think the whole FFP was a Pulling The Ladder Up exercise by Old Money and should be abolished.

    Arsenal game 17th June.

The season is already over as far as I’m concerned.

Will City win the league next season?

The season will be fractured by second and third wave lockdowns and in those circumstances I find it a bit hard to get excited. But all things being equal we have some way to go to add the relentless physicality and chance conversion we will need to catch Liverpool. Feels like we are going to...

Our players back in training from Friday 22 May

Because the virus lives for hours and days on surfaces so the mask helps protects others who might be in the car later. Although in that case the driver should be disinfecting the vehicle first anyway.

Got to say I’m done with this season no matter what half arsed way they finish it.
