Match Thread | Bristol City vs Man City FA Cup (28/02/23)

Alvarez getting about the same service as haaland usually gets...we just are clueless as to how to utilise a striker. Dissapointing performance for me. Plenty of the ball and snappy passing in safe positions a lot of the time. Devoid of idea's going forward though. Foden and Ake the two decent...

Debruyne and Mahrez off at HT please pep. KDB has been close to useless and even if he suddenly springs to life it won't change how generally poor he's been for ages now...since at least the world cup. We are making these nobodies seem like contenders here...shocking. That pass from phil says...

Can only assume this is some energy conservation strategy by pep....we are making hard work of this game all right.

Agreed. He's also under pressure to follow peps bloody rigid system which doesn't allow for freedom in that position.

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2022/23

We seem to play better with him in the squad. Pep just needs to play the lad...on the wing if necassary. He's the future.

Wilson has done sweet fuck all this game. The chances he's had on the break earlier he's squandered too.

Nah they will still be fresh as they have played so many less games this season.

Bruno Guimaraes is absolutely obsessed with that bloody kruyf turn...he does it way too much in silly situations.

Literally all the rags have to do in training is practise counters and set pieces...the ref's will assure they get the chances they need.

Easy for the rags to sit in with their gift of a goal.

Saint-Maxim is a really superb tricky winger...would really take him in an instant.

Can't agree with this....they just had 2 stupid bent decisions go against them in rapid succession. They have largely been the better side by far. They won't be allowed to win this though.

One team will get all the help they need in all the small, but important, situations...one will play better but get nothing from the officials. We all know the bent playbook by now.

Bournemouth (A) | Post Match Thread

We look a better team with certain players missing. Much better today overall. The real test will be newcastle.

    Pep Guardiola - 2022/23

Did you read my whole post? I want pep to stay. However, It absolutely IS cowardly when there are reasonable other tactical/squad rotation approaches on the table. We are a whole load of nothing right now, what harm is it to adapt slightly? He's done it before. The fact he isn't doing that, and...
