Maybe so, but we’ve heard this from them time and time again. Every new manager is the right man for the job, every new player is the final piece in the jigsaw. But so far, every time, it’s turned out that after a couple of years they’re back where they started.

I would be very happy to keep seeing them as the PL laughing stock and wasting hundreds of millions on duds, but to me, they're sadly getting their shit together. It's utterly obvious that they got a man with a vision and more importantly, they're backing him.

It was fun while it lasted.

As I said, this is what happens when the Rags have the officials on their side.

Not much Newcastle can do when offside goals are being given, opposition players are being let off bookings, non-advantages are being played or not played, and corners on the back of momentum are being blown dead for phantom fouls.
