It's when not if on Zinny. And I think keeping Ake around has the club thinking we just need the one left back because both Cancelo and Ake can play there.
Did anyone look at the source article? It uses City as a throwaway line along with Barcelona. Basically that Bayern want him, but City and Barcelona were at one point interested lol. There may be something to it, but it doesn't seem a concrete link.
The article is more about City's hunt for a left back, but Martin Blackburn does say Zinchenko is off to Arsenal for 30 million.

The Don speaks. He's not been as active with breaking stuff out of City over the past year or so. Gaughan has taken over a bit.
The article is much more informative than the tweet. He says Zinchenko is off to Arsenal for £30 million. Left back is the only priority right now and if we can't get...
The rejection? All three have asked to leave for game time and none would start the big games if every player is fit. I'm happy for them all. Just tired of seeing some posters bend over backwards to make it seem like we're selling the best we have to offer.
Laughable. He’s played bit parts when all other options aren’t available. And he’s done well. You don’t need to exaggerate his contributions to say you appreciate him. The hyperbole and recency bias around Jesus and Zinchenko has reached new heights this Summer.
