    That there London

As @staffsblue says the Craft Beer Co places are good, and there is decent beer around a fiver to be had outside the worst of the chains (Nicholson's the main culprit). Sam Smiths put their London prices up sharply a few years back, same time as a pint of OBB went from £2 to £3 in one go ! I...

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 Champion Is Hilts!

Only last month I discovered that "Blinded by the light" was Springsteen's ONLY US number 1 single, not even sung by him, and wondered how that was possible.

West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread | Champions of England

I was too scared to watch, gave my ticket to the lad, but played the Radio 5 commentary in full afterwards and we were astonishingly good. Or course, opposition will ALWAYS score a worldie to make it terrifying.

West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread | Champions of England

Well done Blues, staff and players and fans. Magnificent. I didn't go, youngest lad took my seat in 330 to see his first title win in the flesh, hope he's not too pissed. In all honesty I'm getting far too nervous these days, feel my heart racing every game (that 10 men 2-0 v Forest was...

Phil Foden wins FWA footballer & PL player of the year.

Well done, Phil. An absolute joy to watch, whatever the goals and assists, as is Jack to be fair. That ability to bring a ball out of the air and run with it at pace that Phil and Jack have is a wondrous thing.

    Liverpool Thread - 2023/24

I'll take him out for a few pints of Holt's in the Hare & Hounds if he fancies it though. Done OK has Pep.

    Goodbye Pablo 16.05.17

Best performance in a City shirt I ever saw, Zab away at Newcastle 2014. A giant.

VAR Discussion Thread - 2023/24 | PL clubs to vote on whether to scrap VAR (pg413)

My main issue too. I hate only being able to celebrate restarts.

Premier League 2023/24 Player of the Season | Foden & Haaland nominated

I've voted Foden MOTM virtually every match, would pay just to watch him take that ball out of the sky, but Rodri makes us great.

The "which famous person died today" thread

Not for everyone but Big Blacks "Songs About F*****g" is one of the greatest records ever made.

A message to those going to the West Ham game

Great post @youngbob . I only watch the home games I go to, can't watch City on telly, but I appreciate the great efforts this season even if they give me heart palpitations at 2-0 up and Palace finished me. I've enjoyed this season so far as much as any season, would pay just to see Phil take...

    Sheffield Wednesday

Congrats to Wednesday, have a good weekend @West Yorks Owl Some Owls were having a great night in the Howard as I left Sheffield Station getting back from the Etihad tonight. Sheffield busy as I've seen it in ages, great to see.

City "have made the PL uncompetitive"

I don't remember it being "uncompetitive" that year Leicester won it by ten (10 !) points.

    Snooker

I reckon that 12th frame of Higgins v Allen is the best I've ever seen. Incredibly tense, based on safety, brilliant potting to win it. Better than those frames over in 5 minutes with a big break. Saw a session at the Crucible last week, Bingham looked good, great venue and beer half the price...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

Leicester won the league by ten points that year. TEN!

    The Co-op Live Arena

Jealous, Jane Weaver is a great live act, the live version of "I Need A Connection" is a stunning set closer. Castle & Falcon is a top venue. Will see her later this tour in Cambridge.

    The Co-op Live Arena

A gig a week, mate. 3,000 vinyl albums all styles. Good job we're allowed to be different innit.

    The Co-op Live Arena

We'll see I guess. Perhaps (as she sings herself) we already have her best, but I reckon "Sour" is a perfect album that'll be played in 50 years time; "Guts" is only let down by the abominable "Lacy" but "The Grudge" is incredible.
