Lampard To City On Loan

Love to see Platini's face should this happen.

    First game disappointments

I was at both the abandoned Ipswich games. The one in 94 was the game that when it was eventually replayed was Franny's first game as chairman. In the original game I remember being stood on the Kippax and emptying the water out of my trainer. The match in 2000 was the League Cup QF. The weather...

    Lakeys film?

Some time back ago here on Bluemoon it was rumoured a film was being made regarding Paul Lakes tragic career. It seems to have gone a bit quiet recently and I just wondered if anybody had any ideas if this was still happening?

    First game disappointments

I'm sure the game with the candle protest was against Coventry City? I was there on the Kippax and it was the night we found out the new manager was Brian Horton. Or am I getting old as well?????

    Players you played with

Ashley Westwood (not the Villa player) but the lad who came through United's youth set up and then played for Crewe, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday amongst others was in the same college side as me. And he was a City fan as well.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont I went for a proper look about kumb earlier before this link was posted. It seems that a lot of West Ham fans are very 'in the dark' about the conversion process as the club are being quite secretive in what they reveal. However what...

    The Whalley Pub

Closed on Friday I'm told. It's shut now as I walked down earlier to see. It's also up for sale.

    The Whalley Pub

I went in a couple of hours before England's first game in the World Cup against Italy. Even had a mate working behind the bar. Not given any inclination it was due to close. Seems a bit odd as its always pretty busy even in these difficult times. I've lived in Whalley Range for nearly four...

    The Whalley Pub

Yep that's it. And it's closed for sure and up for sale. I took a walk down about an hour ago before crossing the Parkway and visting Gibsons Green.

    Gibson's Green - Maine Road

Just thought it worth a mention. I've just walked over and had a look at this. There is still building work going on immediately next to it and so it's fenced off. You can still look through the metal fencing but might be worth waiting until the building work is completed and the fence removed.

    The Whalley Pub

In Whalley Range obviously. Closed down now by all accounts. Shame as it's quite iconic in it's own sort of way.

    Liverpool at Home... FROM £57

That's a fair comment I suppose given the drop in capacity. But if those sort of prices are in place once the stadium has been expanded...?

    Premier League Years 2013/14

Its back to the agenda thing again really isn't it? Again I'll repeat a point I made in that thread. A quite well known big City fan I know who used to work for Five Live has told me outside of the London teams the media is full of Rags/Scouse fans. The bias against City in the majority of the...

    Liverpool at Home... FROM £57

These prices are utter madness, what are they thinking? Those that say 'well others will take your place' etc etc are also deluded. Given the amount of threads on here last season about empty seats and the problems people had in giving away tickets illustrates this further. City are still way...

    Gibson's Green - Maine Road

Janice is in this video serving in the club shop. As others have said a really lovely lady. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTmaXOcwdRo

    Feeling old

A girl I work with (I'm 39 and she's 23) asked me recently if I remembered a television show from the 1980's called Fraggle Rock? when I replied that I did and asked her why? Her response was 'I heard my parents talking about it the other night'.

    Hen pecked husbands

Through choice I have stayed single these last two years after the demise of the relationship with my last other half. Now I can look back on it with a completely clear head and she was a fucking nutter. So many things I could list on here but the ultimate 'crack pot' moment was been she freaked...

Richard Edghill Autobiography 'Once A Blue Aways A Blue'

I was at the Coventry game as well sat on the Kippax. Two Blues came to blows infront of me over Edghill that day. That's how much he divided the fans.
