    TV Series

3 body problem Hugely reduced the complexity of the characters in favour of Western good Vs evil. Also reset much of the setting to the UK, for some reason, but I guess to make it more palatable for Western audiences. Hugely complex book trilogy that was always going to be very difficult to...

    The Conservative Party

Yes, I agree that a move to centre in 2025 makes quite a bit of sense, for the Tory party

    The Conservative Party

I think your second and fourth paragraphs are at slight odds with each other. I think they continue to drive the debate downwards.

    The Conservative Party

I'm not sure they are that different really; they represent a confused and frustrated (not to mention intentionally stoked) section of the political right in this country. To me the world feels angrier. I would say they are probably going to be represented more like UKIP in the 2015 election...

    The Conservative Party

Yes i do, but to me their apex vote share will be this election, but the knock on effect to the Conservative Party will be large, as they try to win back their voters (probably by appointing Farage as leader)

    The Conservative Party

well i would tend to agree, it seems we are wandering to an inevitable conclusion, but i predict a further rise in Reform voters plus a slight rebound for Tory voters. I think Labour will contract a touch, tis the way with elections, things tighten up again once it comes to the actual vote. Get...

    The Conservative Party

can get 1/7 on a Labour majority (~88%), so heavy fav but not a foregone conclusion....

    The Conservative Party

there seems to be rather a large pre-occupation with the decimation of the Conservative Party at the next Gen Election, without much consideration being given to where those votes are going. There is a clear partial swap to Reform, and there should be some worry about what this means for UK...

    Injuries - 2023/24 | Ederson cleared to return to training (p 146)

This is my gut feeling, but actually I know very little about what happened to Akanji too. I guess it'll start filtering through soon.

VAR Discussion Thread - 2023/24 | PL clubs to vote on whether to scrap VAR (pg413)

Confirms what we thought at the time and what _some_ pundits were saying; the Doku MacAllister incident stays with the on field decision, whichever way it was given; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68609867

    FA Cup Semi-Final | City v Chelsea | Sat 20 Apr 5:15pm SOLD OUT

City 7/10 clear favs to win the cup. Got to be, in that remaining four. Coventry will be well up for United. Happy with the draw, I'm just always a bit dismayed the semi is a wembley, but there we are

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

ha yeah, we are to be feared for sure. on another point, I think part of a big competition mentality is to forget what's come before and play the game in front of you, last season does not matter anymore. I feel Real have been quite good at doing that, over the years.

simply trade off what you can charge extra to the fans against the loss from unsold tickets, and if you're final result is in the green, the accounts manager couldn't give a f**k
